little information that Bitcoin is now back on its original form, Bitcoin has been in turmoil in recent months, they have informed that bitcoin is trying to recapture the values of the past. this currency in recent months has been greatly reduced, many buyers have doubts, because the value is beyond their predictions or lower, that's why they are also many who buy btc because the value is very down. A lot of news is being published because of the current situation.

I'm not referring to the price of Bitcoin (we all know it's going to be $250,000/coin by 2022), but the goal that it would be a legitimate alternative to inflationary government fiat currencies.  When the altcoin market is examined, it is inextricably linked to the price of Bitcoin.  Where Bitcoin goes, so does the rest of the cryptocurrencies.  There's even somewhat of a dismissive attitude toward other crytpos in some investment circles; strangely this was a similar sentiment held by those "respectable" investors when Bitcoin was in its infancy.

What do you think?  I'd love to hear from some crytpo veterans.

I believe Bitcoin has reached unimaginable limits since its inception. The most unbelievers would say that it would be a bold project that only existed a week ago, but it has become a benchmark in success and acceptability. Today is by the global government levy that comes from interest rates and controls on the movement of currency movements. Maybe it becomes a worldwide transaction.

I think bitcoin still didn't reached it's goal as it continues to rise, or maybe already reached but continues to change and we cannot tell now if bitcoin goals change and aiming for a better one continuously.

I want to respond to your thread title about the purpose of creating bitcoin, I think the purpose of creating bitcoin to date has not been achieved because satoshi assumes that a good currency is not controlled by the government or central bank. As long as bitcoin is still a tool of investment without in use as a means of payment , bitcoin has not reached its destination.

In my country bitcoin still didn't get legitimate. The government still worry if bitcoin someday will leading fiat currency and make economic in that country collapse
same to our county, my county also didn't accept bitcoin.but I hope that bitcoin will be accept in our county very soon.I see that many countries still didn't accept bitcoin like my county. I think this this is the main goal of bitcoin,if everywhere accept bitcoin then bitcoin goal will be achieved.

With it's current transaction speed and high fees, I doubt that it can serve it's purpose as per it's whitepaper. Haters will hate this, but it is more feasible in BCH.

In the first place im not a veterans into this kind of carrer if we talking about digital currency investment, but being also part of this community of bitcoiners i have also own vision about this purpose of bitcoin into the whole world.actualy as of now bitcoin could not rich each goal to become a  global curriencies because of so many factors now affect in digital currency system and one factor that makes this barrier is the legalization of bitcoin to use all over the world because every country have its own vision toward the usefulness of bitcoin to growth of economy, someday say its  okey ,but there are some question the probability of bitcoin of what is the main purpose, but in terms of popularity and price value i thinks bitcoin will reach it constantly.

I'm very positive that bitcoin has already reached its main goal is to become one of the most popular and trusted cryptocurrency of many investor thats why even the price dropping there are still many people willing to invest and wait.

In my opinion, even there's no one actually clearly proven if what is the real goals of bitcoin in this world. One thing i can be assured, that it hasn't yet reached its goal. Maybe, one of the goals of bitcoin is one day,it will be accepted by the governments in the entire world and be legalized,to continuosly helping people for their daily living needs.

If I can only understand correctly, about whether a BTC has achieved its ultimate goal? I am afraid that these questions have no clarity of answers, because nobody or anyone knows for a real purpose of a BTC. It can not be called a monetary sum, just like a dollar or euro. Because at the same time and day, the BTC is implementing a function of propagating a crypto-currency in the country.

in our opinion very thin hopes for Bitcoin to achieve a goal. there may be some hope for growth this year but that has not happened yet. Many investors who invest in their Bitcoin feel very unreasonable because the current price is very low. to our knowledge if the Cryptocurrency market is not certain to experience its development. then there will be many buyers who sell Bitcoin.

I think that yet, Bitcoin has become popular, many use it for different purposes, but we still see some shortcomings: hacking, banned by some country. Bitcoin is only about 10 years old, and I do not think this is enough to achieve the goal.

this is not the "price goal", it was one of the many speculation of what the price may be by then.

but the goal that it would be a legitimate alternative to inflationary government fiat currencies.
if by "legitimate" you mean something that the government approves then you are wrong this is not the bitcoin goal either.

there is a simple explanation for it, people don't care about altcoins!
To reached your goal you need to do extra miles, Passionately we didn't know the creator but other says satoshi nakamoto. The goal is to reached other countries to encourage them to use bitcoin, I think it is possible to reached other countries you need to be patient and enthusiastic in everything you do, Loving what you do to reach your goals.

In the government inflation and crumbling economy sector of Bitcoin I think it has reached the goal in the sense that governments which are failing their people are seeing a large flight of the citizens to using digital currency like Bitcoin. Take Venezuela for example, which even are thinking of launching an official government cryptocurrency because Bitcoin has been so successful with the people just trying to survive there while the whole country is going to shit.

we think it is still very far away with the purpose of existence of Bitcoin. so a lot of people are very panicked in their financial security, and they stop trusting the bank at the moment. Government agencies continue to persuade many people to use transactions without much money, but have not been able to stop that easily.

yes bitcoin currency can not achieve price or an effective goal, it is certainly bitcoin prices will continue to increase in recent months. in conclusion the bitcoin currency has not yet reached the price, and at the moment bitcoin in normal phase or stability will increase at any given time.

It's difficult for Bitcoin to accomplish it's objectives. There are a great deal of desires for Bitcoin's development in this year, however we're waiting for it. Numerous Bitcoin financial specialists are feeling extremely discouraged. I imagine that if the Cryptocurrency advertise is unclear but grow bigger, there will be a great deal of merchants offering Bitcoin. Expectation this won't occur.

I think bitcoin has fulfilled its purpose that has not been able to meet the needs of its investors and investor goals may not have been achieved with bitcoin

I think bitcoin keeps trying in the market to achieve its goals. Really, Bitcoin is in the early stages of development and our line is still very long. Just a matter of time bitcoin we reached it goals
