The market is currently struggling, and has taken a tough hit but it will not stay like that for a long period of time. The market will recover and value will be regained an I think ETH is going to have a good year compared to BTC The year as however not come to an end just yet, a lot will still happen in the cryto arena that might change the balance, BTC might just recover value overtime and end the year on  high note. we still cannot say which one will end the year well, hopefully both will end on a high note

Recently, I was thinkig. Is there really any reason for the BTC to be the market leader? The only thing that is giving the value to BTC is pretty much the fact, that it was the first crypto currency. It is the grandfather of all cryptos. But we know it has its flaws... It was never designed for broad usage, it has scaling issues and so on.

On the other hand, we were given ETH. The Crypto Kitties or w/e the awesome internet meme ETH appliction is called showed us, that ETH network has issues with high amounts of usage. BUT, 90% of all altcoins are based on the ERC-20 standard, brought to us by ETH. The smart contracts using the Solidity are extremly good piece of technolgy.

So my question is. Do you think, that BTC will keep its leadership, or will ETH be the winner of this year and surpass its ancestor?

It won't take long until bitcoins fall from its throne and be replaced by something better. Bitcoins are now nearing outdating itself compared to its competitors and without proper updates, it will fall to the next big thing like Etherium or other well renowned alt coins.

For me they're both winner because they have potential and really good crypto too, that's why both of them are successful cryptocurrency right now, also this two are the crypto that can gives you huge profit especially when the market is rapidly rising. So i think not only this year willl they become winners because Bitcoin and Ethereum are the cryptocurrencies that many people are believe and trust, and they are also the two crypto that have higher value.

In my own opinion this is already obvious that the winner of this year is the company of bitcoins only because they are more successful than the ethreum and the market value of their investment is really too high.

Hmm, I think if Bitcoin will grow, then Ethereum will grow as well. All altcoins will grow or dump after BTC grown to the new moon, so it’s better to keep an eye on BTC and wait.

It's very early to talk about 2018, because now only half of 2018 is behind, so I think that such a poll should be arranged at the end or in October this year, now the behavior of these projects is very chaotic and bitcoin is clearly manipulated.

I think both are strong cryptocurrencies but for sure BTC is some steps ahead ETH and it will always be. I invested in both because both are great

In terms of value and role and importance: I think ETH is hard to break bitcoin this year. It is difficult to predict in this situation. The market is still in a recovery state and is in the process of recovery. The competitive trend in the ratio of investors is yes. But bitcoin and altcoin are needed to create variety and abundance for the market.

I think the bitcoin is still the best of crypto currency. Bitcoin is so popular and more valuable.

In my opinion, Bitcoin is always the number one, the altcoin and token can not cross the BTC in the near future! It takes more time

I do not agree with your opinion. In fact, people will invest in ETH or some other potential altcoin than investing in BTC. It is possible that BTC has expired in the crypto market

Yes, ETH is of more interest to investors because of its importance and ETH may be gaining momentum when it is bracing 100% importance on the existence of other altcoins. But I think bitcoin is still the number one because the rate of investors for a long time is a very large space.
