Winner of this year, ETH or BTC?

Right now, I believe Bitcoin still strong and become the winner.
I know a lot of ICO project using Ethereum platform, but I think many whales still holding Bitcoins for their investment.

Winner? Hmm i think both of the coins win, the two coins become popular nowadays, with that improvement they already win, because in this year eth is now known like bitcoin. But in terms of progressing eth seems have the advantage because bitcoin is already rise and now its falling while eth is at low and still rising.

Yes, BTC is leading just because it is the first crypto. If they do not work on the limitations, they will soon be at second spot and replaced by ETH.

Though now the ETH really pump hard while the btc is dumping though lately it had a pumping but i think it is just because of whales then now keeps falling again. Now in ETH, the value of this coin is not bad way back last year because ETH last year is really quite that it has not been notice by us, now ETH is coming back and hopefully it is keep pumping, we could see that it dumps late but if we compare it with btc ETH is really pump by this year

Indeed, it is hard to tell who is the winner this year because both of them are in dip and I don't think it as victory. We can only classify if one of them will pump tremendously and I think it will only happen before this year end. Both these coins has high potential so it is bettet to not stick to one of them but rather take them both.

Recently, I was thinkig. Is there really any reason for the BTC to be the market leader? The only thing that is giving the value to BTC is pretty much the fact, that it was the first crypto currency. It is the grandfather of all cryptos. But we know it has its flaws... It was never designed for broad usage, it has scaling issues and so on.

On the other hand, we were given ETH. The Crypto Kitties or w/e the awesome internet meme ETH appliction is called showed us, that ETH network has issues with high amounts of usage. BUT, 90% of all altcoins are based on the ERC-20 standard, brought to us by ETH. The smart contracts using the Solidity are extremly good piece of technolgy.

So my question is. Do you think, that BTC will keep its leadership, or will ETH be the winner of this year and surpass its ancestor?

For me ,i  believe that btc will still be number 1 this year, if theres a coin beat btc it would be eth it showed growth this year but interms of number 1 coin in cryptocurrency this time no one can tell but if eth will be on top,i think it takes a lot of time.

I don't believe ethereum will surpass bitcoin this year, if ever. But we see the trend when the eth price grows faster than the price of bitcoin, so the gap seems to be closing down for now

Still Bitcoin and I think it will rule in this industry in 2019! There is no way that bitcoin will fail as it is the king of crypto coins but I would prefer Ethreum over bitcoin in terms of current market situation as Eth have some better features which are missing in bitcoin and Ethreum got stability which is lacking in bitcoin (sometimes we just cannot predict the market situation but experienced users know about the fluctuations). Bitcoin and Ethereum both are strong and leader coins. Both can give unexpected returns to long-term holders which are already proved behind.

As we can see recently the crypto market experienced ups and downs of prices of all cryptocurrencies but still bitcoin take the leads. I don't think that ETH will bit bitcoin in terms of its price, however ethereum is now getting better with its popularity but still it comes next to bitcoin. Generally, I can't really decide who will be the winner for this year between the two but to think only that this year will have a bull market to be expect to happen.

I think it all depends on the criteria for comparing these pairs, if we talk about the volatility and growth rate to $, I'm sure that ETH will be the winner!

In my opinion, the idea of ETH will surpass BTC is a bit difficult since BTC is the pioneer of this world. But regarding their chance of profit, I prefer ETH because of its smaller marketcap.

There is no reason why we should not invest on bitcoin and ETH, they are in the top so it means there are a lot of people investing on it
and most likely it will go uptrend as crypto gets more popular as the credit always go to the most powerful crypto.
ETH and BTC are both good investment, but let us find more because there are a lot of undervalued coins and tokens in the market.

Both are strong coins. Choosing between them is difficult. With such a statement of the question, I would prefer to follow the Pareto rule: 80% would invest in bitcoin, and 20% of the remaining amount of the deposit would be invested in the ethereum. A fairly balanced portfolio would have turned out.
