Do we really need to hold altcoins

Someone told me it is better to hold btc rather than altcoins that she doesn't see any reason why people hold altcoin. She noticed altcoins rely heavily on btc that whenever btc fall they also fall with btc. What is your take on this?

Actually there are lots of factors works in this field , for exmaple a usual thing that we can see that when the price of bitcoin will get up then in that case price of the altcoins get down and vice versa .
But in the present time it usually not happened because many whales are creating illusion of the dump of bitcoin market as well as of altcoins market and that cateye fear in the mind of every type of the traders and that leads into mentilty that how they can trade if there is not a usual thing happening , so they get into panic and few of them left such type software the work ( trading and investment in new new coin asset ) .
So here we should remain always strong with our holding and never get into any type of fud fear  , and become a successful trader by own analysis of the cryptocurrency market .

If you are an investor and believe into market, you should hold your coins and tokens. But if you have lost your confidence and want your money back - sell it and let other people make profits in the future

Yes, for me we need to hold that altcoins because as soon or in the right time we can sure that they will have a high price so that we can get a big profit. You need to also check if that coin is worth for your patience.

Indeed there may be a correlation, at least for now, or in a downward trend like this.
But of course the percentage, there will be differences, especially on Altcoin with market capitalization is still quite small.

Yes I believe alternative coins have more potential than bitcoin. Based on my experience there are many potential alternative coins which you can choose to invest on and can have 10x 100x multiplier at the end if you are really good during the ICO phase.

At this very moment of time, buy and hold bitcoin and sell  those altcoins you have there if you can profit from it, if you cant then hold until the market goes green again or if what they say is true about bull run this year.

I think that the strategy of the holding of altcoins is justified not in all situations ... Personally, I only hold coins of some projects that have collected HARDCAP and they have great potential.

You can hold altcoins if you the tokens have potential value appreciation and a good team to promote it .the risks to altcoins are higher, so is the reward

yes of course all should require to hold altcoin because if you do not withstand altcoin you may not be able to get the maximum benefit and it should be noted that altcoin has a very high risk to fall.

I'm not sure that we have to invest for a long time in little-known and risky altcoins because now the main coins are also falling in which people invest much more than in the altcoins

Bitcoin is good also, but you dont need to focus your Investments strictly to the one particular coin, you can always buy 4, 5, 10 of them, and by doing that you would be more likely to catch the pump.

Altcoins have different values and cant be looked at as we used to do (alternative coins..)

I have only been in the crypto for a few months, during which time I see that bitcoin is still an indicator and can affects other alt, whether it will go up or down. I am also not good at researching and choosing an investment, therefore I only hold the bitcoin and alt popular (top 10 alt in cmc).

Though I have knowledge in the market and I do research, I also prefer investing in just BTC and top altcoins. I am more firm about investing in well established coins rather than newly added coins.

Bitcoin affects most of the altcoins, but there are some altcoins that show growth when bitcoin dumps and some show decrease in price when bitcoin pumps. Therefore I prefer investing in BTC and some top altcoins and holding for long term to ensure profit and investment security.

I am holding some altcoins which has high volume of trades. why? incase that it will have some good increase by any chance, a good day trade can be done easily. shorting and hodling should be well prepared everyday, I dont like missing good opportunity.

You won't be able to get the same returns with Bitcoin that you will get with altcoins. Bitcoin has grown so much that moving its prices isn't easy and you won't get the same x10-20 returns like you used to get earlier. For that you will have to invest in alt coins as they are still at low market cap and can be moved easily.

The only reason to hold altcoins is to earn more money . Just compare capitalisation of bitcoivs any altcoin and you'l see that amount of money needed for a +100% pump is incalculable . Having 100 btc you can pump most part of altcoins to x2-x10 , that's why altcoin investment could bevery profitable .

Some people keep altcoins waiting they rise their value, other sells it inmediatelly thinkin their value is going to fall, it is depends of the altcoin too, you can keep perfectly ETH, DODGE or LITE apart than BTC perfectly

It's almost the same trend, but that's because you probably only see from top20 marketcap. While innovative projects with better platforms are certainly worth supporting, because if all depends on Bitcoin, it will require enormous market capitalization to grow the portfolio, even just on Bitcoin.
