How do you keep yourself from spending on unimportant things?

I dont know if it is just me or others also experience it. I always set goals financially, set limits in spending and trying hard to save but most of the time no matter how i tell myself to refrain from spending in unnecessary things whenever i see something i really like even if i dont need it i cant resist buying it that cause me to regret later. Are you familiar with this situation?

Very familiar, you know you are the one who has that body, and well for me havibg a great self discipline matters, if you dont want to suffer for all of the things that you did then before you act better think about the consequences that you might fell into if you let yourself buy everything that you will see. I guess better to save most of your money and bring enough for yourself.

Things to keep in mind when wanting to spend money is sorting between needs and wants. Needs are things that must exist and can disrupt the activity if not met. While desire, it is actually not very important, but sometimes it appears in the mind of someone who causes it to want to have it. So, prioritize the needs of the desire, then you will learn how to control yourself from things that are not too important.

I experienced the same thing many unimportant things I bought from crypto income but it's all just for entertaining myself from what I've been working on. To avoid it i always save my money in the bank and invest it a bit by buying altcoin.

Yes i feel you. I have moments too that i wang to buy something even if i know i dont really need it. It takes discipline, really to be able to stilop yourself from spending money unnecessarily. One method that worked for me is to bring only money enough for the day (food and transportation) and a little extra.

That has always been the issue most of the time and the thing is that a lot of people always get it all wrong by trying to either impress or living a life they cannot afford and all these things combine together will always make you over spend and end up using your funds on things that are unimportant.

It is a common sense to know what is important and what is not, and it is left for each individual to table those things out and discipline themselves towards avoiding those things that are unimportant. They may think it cannot be avoided, but it can and all it takes is just discipline like I have said.

The time now is important to manage your ìjì status , so I plan for myself the primary needs for spending, so I will not be spending on unimportant things , do not spend more than what you earn, try to  give the priority to things to be bought.

I think this statement is very familiar to me and in my vision of this it is the part of life and people are still keeping doing the unnecessary things instead of doing the right thing especially the young one they are not satisfied in their life so they are doing something different.

Yes! I think this situations are had experienced by others. We know that as humans we need spend money to buy what are important for us sometimes by spending without control can makes a bad things. So in this situation the principles of needs and wants are occur sometimes we could bought things that is not much important for us like buying another new phone even your old phones are good and working nicely so this is what you called wants. And sometimes if you are going buy new shoes  because other one that you are using is too old and nearly to break then you must buy shoes because you are going to your work everyday. So it is your decision to buy a shoes because you must need it so it is the factors that affect your way of living and at the same time you savings and investment.

I am. But you can overcome this through self-discipline. The decision is always on your self whether you buy stuffs or not. If you have enough self-discipline, you can be able to control and make more reasonable choices. Also, if you have enough self-discipline, you will be able to avoid places where you might get more expenses and that is important. Places like malls or stores may lead to excessive buying and that is the issue we want to avoid.

   Its always hard for me to avoid unnecessary expences, I like to enjoy every day of my life and dont care much about my future.
   I use to hide my funds to dont let my eyes notice it, to make my braint forget about it. I may give some of my funds to my relatives because I beleive they are able to keep it better. Cold bitcoin storage is also good solution for it

I really do not see anything hard here as all it takes is just discipline and knowing how to control the way you spend and with that being said, controlling your spending is not something that can just be done with your mind, brain or hands, you need to always learn how to make a list and write what you really need, what you want, which the latter are mostly things that are not really necessary. As long as you can do this and stick with it, with some level of discipline, you will see yourself spending more responsibly and notice that you have been extremely wasteful most of the time on things that are really not that important.

Hahaha, how could this happen to everyone? including me.. Everytime i try to save my money, i always keep telling my own mind not to open any ONLINE SHOP, but i always did opened it... maybe we just have delete any Shoping application on our smartphone to prevent us from keep spending our money on things we want but we didnot need. Yup, honestly. I also experience this and it makes me so angry to myself. I try very hard to refuse on buying things unnecessary or those things I only want. However, whenever I go to a mall and see something I like, I cannot refuse but to buy. So to correct this, I see to it that my money is only enough for the things I should do and buy. I don't get extra money so I cannot buy anything.

I think this is everyone may have such a problem, no matter how do I tell myself don't spend on unnecessary things, as long as I can see what I really like, even if I don't need it, I can't resist buying it will make me regret.

Currently I earn money by working and earning a monthly salary, with a very small salary then I have to discipline in managing finances, if I do not get extra income then I will never spend on unimportant things.

-Spending our money especially for ourselves is not that bad but once you spend it to unimportant matters without knowing the possible reason is something that you need to prevent or control. First and foremost, if you really want to keep yourself from spending on unimportant matter you need first to practice discipline for it is the only attitude that will help you. Then, try to put your attention to something more important than spending. Next, you need to set your goals for that month, possible places to visit for you to enjoy and help you save. Lastly, write down all the possible goals of your life from today up to the near future for you to save atleast 10% of your salary or money.
