The ETH potential is huge, but yet not implemented. I think this is due to the fact that the network is at the expense of the miners. When acne Buterin still decide to switch to another algorithm, such as the POS , the transaction rate will increase dramatically, which will lead to more interest in the coin.

I guess ethereum will always be the next best investment aside from bitcoin. However, the recent problem with ethereum transactions being too expensive and slow might also affect it's market demand. I guess they should do something about it or else investors or even other projects might as well move to different platform.

That is called the volatility price of ethereum it went up and down. Even it is unstable I  still holding Eth until now. You are not the one lost when investing in Ethereum others too.
