What's everyone's current block?
I tried sending some Nxt, and it said "money sent", but no transaction appeared and my balance didn't change.
Not sure what to do now.. I set deadline to 1 hour.. thinking about just waiting that out and trying again.

Wait. I see 2 similar transactions for 18'500 NXT.

Come-from-Beyond,

Since the http web interface, api commands, and the P2P port use 7874, what settings do we change to prevent external connections to our clients and external API requests?

web.xml contains 2 parameters (allowedUserHosts and allowedBotHosts), the former is not enabled yet, rename index.html to random_chars.html (in nxt/webapps/root/) to block the interface.

The list of allowed hosts must be separated with ";". Open http://localhost:7874/nxt?requestType=getMyInfo to get ur host name ("host" parameter in the response).

That wasn't me. But anyway: the transaction went through immediately once a new block was found. All's well that ends well. Smiley

Sometimes transactions r lost in limbo and u don't know if they r confirmed in future. AFAIK Bitcoin has similar issue. Resend transactions only after they expire (if not confirmed).

Come-from-Beyond,

The file 'etc/jetty-https.xml' has the default 'https.port' correctly assigned as 7875, but the file 'etc/jetty-http.xml' has the default 'http.port' listed as 80.  Shouldn't the default http port be 7874?

Transactions file corrupted. Replace transactions.nxt, blocks.nxt and accounts.nxt with their *.bak copies. U must do it for all 3 files, otherwise u'll get inconsistent data.

2.19 version is not working for me, I am done - go to sleep...
Bro I am waiting to get it work and then send three already sold tx, but it...I am not sure what to do, go to bed, or keep trying?!

By the way I received the 400K Nxt (well the guy who promised to donate informed me , I should check the account only after catching the whole blockchain). If it is there, I ll unlock the giveaway thread to start assigning and sending coins to the posters ASAP!

Also there have been several guys sending me pm about their offer of collaboration, one academic guy from Germany, and also another guy who expressed his high interest in Nxt as a promising innovative new crypto. He offered us covering the news of Nxt in Wall Street Journal, Yahoo Finance and some others for 0.4 btc worth of Nxt. Do the public think I am the manager of this project??
As a stake holder I am trying my best, but we ll need some more donations to supply bounties and also such a media coverage offers. But except me, CBF and klee and the other guy who supplied our giveaway, none of big stake holders has a will to donate or help at all Sad

they're in for the money bro.  don't expect them to just give it away.
Yes but I already donated more than 500K + several extra bonuses to early buyers.
Also sold 40% of my coins at damn low prices, and will be sending giveaway coins soon in another thread, and also trying to manage the bounty one.
Just got exhausted Sad

Bybitcoin, can you post your address or whichever address you are using for the giveaway fund? I will donate 100k nxt.

Keep up the good work!
This is the address I use for receiving the donations and supplying the giveaway and may some bounties from: 10464154183950443834

bybitcoin, I just sent 400K to 10464154183950443834. Tx id: http://87.230.14.1/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=2000&tra=7841279738376061483
At current ask price of 0.00000200 at dgex.com, it should cover the 0.4BTC required for the "news of Nxt in Wall Street Journal, Yahoo Finance..." collaboration and some. Please ensure they keep their end of the bargain. Appreciate your good efforts.
Thank you Pouncer and yes I ll pm him and ask him to introduce his offer publicly. If you approved his offer, then we can make it final and let him start and pay him accordingly.

In general and for future donators: it is better to specify your account you are going to donate/send from before sending, to make it easier for me to recognize, and also for more public transparency.

Bybitcoin, have you heard from the "news of Nxt in Wall Street Journal, Yahoo Finance..." guy?

People losing coins due to weak pass phrases will continue. I suggest NXT ( or NRS) does something similar to what Electrum does: force on users randomly generated phrase of 12 words or something like this.

What do you think?

At the very least something of that sort. And sure, it should be the user's responsibility to keep his or her money safe, but if Nxt wants any sort of mainstream audience you have to be willing to put up some safety net for the less knowledgeable users.
