CfB I am sure you know them - did you try to communicate with them?

I know only those who PMed me to claim unclaimed coins. It's 5% of all founders.

Now time for bad news.
Edit: If stakeholders don't change situation they should sell their coins before price drops below ZERO.
- such DUMP scheme, initiated right now by BCNext, is not good for Nxt. Because those, who believed in the Nxt, and bought some coins at a high price, would loose a lot now. And those, who are bying right now, are not a believers (after such words by BCNext), they are simply very risky traders.

Wouldn’t you be angry when 71 people taking advantage of you and none participate to promote your child…
No, because they are free people and i cannot control them.
maybe look in de signature. Did you even try looking for it?
How do i know it is bounty address not personal address?
I completely understand BCnext and this is no blackmail, if nothing change and we get no serious involvement from that accounts with more than 50M coins on it it will be over and out.
Now there is only two such accounts. You are putting the future of NXT to the will of only two people?   Shocked

I updated the client from 0.3.16 to 0.3.18 on a centos box,
 I got the following errors:

Delete "peers.nxt" and run again.

Thank you very much!
it works now

They r not forced to mark their nodes. Nodes without hallmark still help a lot.

Good.

I will provide a public NXT node service. I'll set up your nodes (hallmarked or not) and upgrade them as new versions are released and do full maintenance, your node will be on a dedicated IP and I'll take payment in NXT/BTC/LTC (equivalent of $10/month). Monthly contract. PM me or use the contact form on the website in my profile if interested. Help protect the network by running a dedicated node and get rid of the upgrade hassle.

I think BCNext should understand that he is also responsible in a way.
The client is not the same technology as all the other coins - that makes it a bit more difficult to have it up & running plus I cannot leave more than 8h my client mining without getting stuck and frozen.
Also you almost do 1 update/day - not all people who invested here should be miners, or tech nerds or have the time to follow this close!

And he should focus on the good guys and not the bad - this is ridiculous I am not accepting that kind of behaviour from anyone, I have invested 2-3 whole fucking weeks of my life in this 24/7 (like you CfB did), brought people here and convinced them to invest etc.

No one promised him the project would not have obstacles - if he does another clone he really thinks only with differerent engineering will solve all the problems? Especially of social nature..

Please grow up everyone - let the 5-10% of stakeholders bring this forward so it will become valuable for the rest to dump their coins and get free from their inactivity!

Actually, those top stakeholders are participating Nxt. They are just mining for profit. Too greedy.

If they sold 80% of what they have now, the price will climb and the wealth they own doesn't decrease.

The bad news has effect on the price. Now the price at DGEX jump from 800 to 500.

http://87.230.14.1/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=40

Only 10% r mining blocks.

No, not 10%. I count the top 21 accounts, it seems that more than 12 accounts mined a lot. Because they are mining every day, they must update the client day by day, so I think those top shareholders are reading this thread, and they care the price more than the general users.

CfB and BCNext, could you dump the coins to the general users? For example, at the price 0.5 BTC per M, and each user can only get at most 10K. BTW, I have bought some coins today.

Now time for bad news.

BCNext is becoming more and more angry coz of stakeholders who don't help Nxt. They don't run their nodes, they don't support bounties, they don't take part in Nxt promotion. He can't force them to do all these things but he can quit this project and join other cryptocoin, no matter if it's called ClonedNxt, and contribute his ideas and code to a competitor of Nxt...

My personal opinion: This guy doesn't care about money nor how much 1 NXT will be worth, I'm 100% sure he will do what he said. I think that Nxt clone will have the same problems and decision to quit Nxt would be one of the worst decisions, but he has his own opinion.
Edit: If stakeholders don't change situation they should sell their coins before price drops below ZERO.

It isn't bad news, but it is good news!

I can't dump my coins. Already dumped half of them in the beginning to spread the wealth. I still believe that everything will be fine, so I prefer to keep the rest of my nxts.

I now you are involved and dont blame you, you are the only one who donated.

We did tons of work and in my case I received 1000 NXT for it, that is 0.007 BTC think I am not alone,

also the people who run the forum like optacil, come from behind etc... have invested lot of time and money,
dont know how many they did receive for it.

Time for others to step up, you already did a great part !

Problem is if BCNext don't show 1000000% commitment how can he expect even 75% commitment from the followers?

He did a social engineering fault by giving early adopters too much power maybe - now he is thinking of solving the mistake with another one!

If he abandons this how can he expect people will take him seriously in his Next project? Tongue

Brilliance is a double edge sword I suppose...

Is it possible to destroy some of those accounts that are not sharing any NXT? (And then also return the original BTC to that former shareholder).

Sort of like how stablecoin destroyed their premine?

Btw, do we really need 1 billion coins? Why not just 500 million.

I have this bug to report. It's a second or third time I've seen it and I think it's easily reproduceable. This is on Debian Linux. Not sure if this is OS specific, but trying to give all details here. It may even be a known issue, not sure.

I have started NXT 0.3.18 and it began to download the blockchain. Then I tried to terminate it with CTRL+C BEFORE it fully downloaded, but it didn't want to exit, so I issued a kill -9 PID. Then I started the software again, but it turns out the blocks.nxt got corrupted, because the browser began to spit the java.nullpointer exception message. Had to stop the server, replace blocks.nxt with the blocks.nxt.bak file, and then start it again, and then it was alright.

So, why is it, that before the full block chain is downloaded and you stop the server, the server doesn't want to exit, and kill -9 PID corrupts the blocks.nxt file. There has to be a way to exit the server without corrupting the block chain even though the block chain isn't fully downloaded. Or did I have to wait longer for the server to exit after CTRL+C?

Thx for the report. I'll add a code that checks if CTRL+C was pressed during blockchain downloading.

Those who don't see blocks, please, check if ur blocks.nxt file is growing.

blocks.nxt file is growing. I think(?) I found the problem. I had to refresh the page once the entire blockchain finishes catching up in order to see the new blocks. That also seems to include when it randomly "catches up" mid-session. So anytime I catch up, I have to refresh the page. Not sure if this is true, just my theory, I will watch it some more.

Average base target ~1000%, so only 10% coins r mining.

The overall is 10%. But we can't expect the system 100% mining even in the long term future.

Right now, the client update every day and the newbie has only ten or a hundred coins, they need to learn how to mine, and actually they can't get any tx fee even they mined from the start. So those ~ 45% of coins are nearly "dead". On the other hand, I think at least 30% of the top 21 accounts are actively mining, that is 30% * 55% ~ 15%.

In such a case, coins are not evenly distributed, the new users have no incentive to take party in Nxt. If this case goes on, only the top miners play the game and Nxt network won't grow up. To get Nxt diffusion to more and more users, top shareholders need to choose a right way from both the viewpoint of themselves and also Nxt.
