wtf is that? omg i see that too? Is the chain broken now? That's one hell of a TX fee. I would not worry about it. NXT, so far, has been quite robust. It will probably get rejected as invalid. I´ve checked the transaction id in the blockchain explorer but it is not found. I´ve never seen something like this before tho... And a transaction fee of MINUS 5 neither...

You can run a single instance too, if you can run a high Weight value node off it, otherwise it'd be waste of resources. By high Weight value, do you mean a high Nxt balance? I'm aware of the Weight attribute but I thought that was used for distributing weight amongst multiple nodes.

NXT----obviously, it's a great idea! but it's too hard to use, we cann't spend whole time to keep eye on the screen to check if the block stucked or not. if no one could solve this ploblem, i dare to say: NXT will disappear soon. the good idea must supported by easy way to use ,but NXT.....
Any new thing is hard to use. The first car was terrible to use, the first bike, the first vacuum cleaner, washing machine etc. etc. etc. Things get better with time. I´ve spent most of the day (for perspective) reading old old threads and articles about Bitcoin. It´s a hoot! In almost every thread you saw people putting it down and mocking it in terms of "it´s for nerds and will never get anywhere". I am willing to bet quite a lot of money that these people are groaning very loudly since april and/or the beginning of december. Only time will tell, but don´t come complaining if you missed yet another boat. maybe you are right! but be sure, i will complaining if i missed the baot and cann't aboard a ship. I have no idea if I am right I might be betting on the wrong horse here, too. BUT I´m willing to take a calculated risk here. I see loads of people sincerely investing time and effort in this and taking a realistic view of things. Basically, because I am fairly inept at grasping the real fundamentals of the venture, I need to go on my trust in those involved. They seem competent and dedicated (just looking at this thread and the effort involved confirms this to me) and that is good enough for me. That is no garantuee for success, but it´s way better than just making a copy of something that someone else already has done, as with most alt coins. So, I´m perfectly willing to wait and see and maybe lose. I know that if all goes well, I (and all others with me) are on to a winner.

I'm aware of the Weight attribute but I thought that was used for distributing weight amongst multiple nodes. Either way, if you want to run only one node on a whole dedicated server, attract more DDOS attack to yourself with a higher Weight value, so that your bandwidth and RAM with the hosting provider is fully utilized. I am not sure about that part, that one hallmark used on different IPs splits the Weight between them, I heard that was mentioned today, but need to clarify that still. There are so many nuances about NXT that it's hard to catch up with them all.

There are so many nuances about NXT that it's hard to catch up with them all. From the wiki page: If you only operate one node, the value doesn't matter... but if you operate multiple nodes, you can use this value to set a relative "weight" for each node. The network will "sum" all of the weights for your hallmarked node, and use the ratios of those weights to determine how much traffic each one can bear. For example, if you have four nodes and want them all weighted equally, set equal values. But if one node has much more memory and bandwidth allocated to it, you may weight it more highly relative to the other three.

Since CfB already slept, can laowai or any other with technical knowledge answer me this question.
I am connected to the network using my local computer without hallmark. I don't care about forging benefit but I would like to support the network as much as I can. Does my computer help the network ? or does it just cause more stresses to some of your hallmarked nodes ? If my node does not help the network, I would like to close my computer now so I can concentrate on some writing for alias system and asset exchange.
I am not exactly sure, but I think writing for the alias system and asset exchange are much more useful right now Local computer helps the network only minimally as far as I can deduce, maybe even hurting at the time of DDOS, which is going on right now and it's big. Thanks laowai. Good luck at the front, Nxt warriors. You keep us safe and we are eternally grateful

Little update on my public nodes:You can add them into your web.xml if you wish 95.85.46.233; 162.243.140.133; 146.185.129.54;First one is 4GB ( previously was 2GB) Hallmarked, the second one and the third one are 1GB ( previously were 512mb) not hallmarked. I saw they suffered a bit when the network was under attack, now they should be more stable with this upgrade. I'll try to keep these running forever, or at least until i die. If you want me to help more the network adding more and maintaining these 3, feel free to donate NXT to my address (in signature), i'll use them only for add/maintain vps. Tomorrow i'll probabilly add 2 more nodes (1GB not hallmarked) for help the network a bit more. A big thanks to the first 2 persons that are help me to keep this vps running and expanding: opticalcarrier and bidji29Good job, Pablito89! Sent you some, set up another one for me.
damn, i forgot you!! A BIG THANKS TO laowai80 too for the help with the VPS configuration

Seems like block chain is broken because of that odd transaction where amount and fee are mixed!
