keep getting generated an incorrect block repeating. This is at block 22447.

Just delete everything and try again?

Yes
The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

I want to remind to everyone that there are FREE servers where you could run Nxt to help us!

Azure (1 month) - http://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/pricing/free-trial/
Amazon (1 year) - http://aws.amazon.com/free/

And not free but cheap servers are @ http://lowendbox.com/ and http://lowendstock.com/
About last 2: I'm don't know what the problem to use node with 512Mb. Just restart nxt with cron hourly and that's it (if I'm wrong - please correct me)!

If you have nxt but don't want to set up server my yourself - send them to me, I'll buy some cheap servers.
* There is a good men ferment. If you want - send Nxt to him. We are not opponents. We ALL try send Nxt to the moon!

Finally I set up server @ 54.249.101.252 and enabled hallmark.
Tips for paying it are welcome @ 2345678935869777788

Attention contributing members of the NXT community

I have created a forum for discussion and collaboration between those that need a place to communicate efficiently. This will be a closed forum and I will approve each member by hand. This is to prevent clutter and streamline the development process.

This thread is too cluttered for me to follow, and nextcoin.org is down and contains trolls and other "noobs," not that new people are bad, I think we just need a clean and simple workspace...

If this site is DDOS'ed I'll move it to a black lotus server with ASIC DDOS protection.

People that are welcome include...
  • Client Developers
    Core Developers
    Project Managers
People actively working on making NXT a successful crypto-currency
Investors (You will be banned if you complain or bitch about how fast people like CFB or BC are working)
    Donors

Here is a link http://buyinglitecoins.com/. (I'm currently using a domain that's already set up, deal with it  Cool.)

Anyone positively contributing to NXT is welcome to join!

Administers if they choose to come aboard will be Pinarello, CFB, 2Kewl4School, Opticalc and Nexern.

Ok, I'll see if I can figure a way to time it. I can't refresh 10 non-stop by hand!

Rough assessment is enough

These times are for the full block chain, but I stopped the timing once it got stuck on a block for more than a few minutes (it was killing my macbook).

node11: 11 mins
lastBlock: 14987236399032588197

I've just installed a brand new NXT from the original post, version 0.4.2 on my home PC, didn't download any special blockchain files, the blockchain synced in 10 minutes.

current block 23193  id 14900881999028169406    1878 %

that's for those who say they can't sync, just reinstall it from scratch, should help. or try tomorrow Smiley

Nxt currency distribution: NXT WAS NOT PRE-MINED

Actually there is only 1 way to create a secure 100% PoS coin - issue all coins at once. If u subsidize block forging (like 25 BTC in Bitcoin now) then u make ur coin vulnerable to different types of attacks. The only way to fix this is to add proof-of-work which doesn't make sense in 100% PoS coin. Mathematical proof is very sophisticated and wasn't peer reviewed, so this statement may be wrong. U still could mention that if not all coins r premined then the currency may be vulnerable to attacks.

Ok I will include your objective stance in the next repost

At the same time we also need a better place to streamline development and progression. I agree with you, I'll make the forums open to view but registration will still be controlled.

PM me on bitcointalk with your role in the community if you want your account to be activated. I only know about 20 people on here by name.

nxtbase: more nodes in more places!

Donations are rolling in. neer.g just covered sponsorship for 10 nodes in a new datacenter. Thank you everybody!

To help with more nodes, please send a donation to 11243542237777034551. 3000 nxt will sponsor 1 node for 3 months. I will leave the donated nxt in my account for 3 months for transparency purposes.

Based on the current account balance, I have received donations for 32 nodes and I'm donating 10 nodes myself. So hopefully in the nxt day or so I should have at least 42 nodes running.

Nodes:
- 10 nodes in Atlanta - (node1-10.nxtbase.com)
- 10 nodes in VA  - (node11-20.nxtbase.com)
In progress 10 nodes in Dallas (node21-30.nxtbase.com)
In progress 10 nodes in Chicago (node31-40.nxtbase.com)
In progress 2+ nodes TBD (Hong Kong? Sidney?)

To get more nodes, please send more NXT. Any amount is ok as I'll prop up new nodes every 3000 nxt received. PM if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Ferment

@brooklynbtc I saw your pm...how much nxt do you need to set up 5 nxt nodes on vps? respond asap and are payments being processed on time right now? anyone send a payment recently?

I received one payment today, set up a 1gb and a 2gb hallmarked to see how they work.

I will set more up asap.

As to payments today, the chain seems to be ebbing and flowing

Administers if they choose to come aboard will be Pinarello, CFB, 2Kewl4School, Opticalc and Nexern.

Haven't they got enough on their plates to be also moderators and post somewhere else?

Of course, I am not opposed to promoting others to the position of moderator. It was just an open invitation.
