I wonder, how low we will go today... It's 0.000036 even on DGEX...
That is really-really ugly. I am managing Nxt investments from 3 friends. It was their first crypto-investment. They got in at 0.00006. All 3 called me today already what to do now and if we should sell.. I told the mnot to panic. I hope I will be right... Divide friends and business, what can I tell? If you're their manager, u took decision even if 99%-price fall'll happen. And if u're mediator, well, do exactly as they'll say Money and inconsistent managing of risks destroyed too many relationships to support that model ever again, I suppose. I am doing what they are selling. I managed to calm them down when the price was below 0.00004, I hope I did the right thing

22k.io: nxt search and exploreIt's a new version of 22k.io! You can do some neat stuff. Cool! Good job. Why here: http://22k.io/account/3283108578452123518 all transactions have "Alias assignment" as recipient? Can you shorten months to 3-letters? And sort transactions by timestamp with freshest on top? Some In/Out icon would be nice too.

Dgex actually sucks i used to not mind using that exchange. Ive sent 300kNXT to sell the other day guess what still pending. Now price has dropped fsake. I cant do anything but wait it out. I dont wanna cancel the pending deposit because im not even sure it will be returned this year. Dgex is killing NXT we need another exchange desparatley that has good volume.
Ok now its apeared in my balance. Rant over

I used that phrase instead of the account number that receives payment for Alias assignments. EDIT: That looks like a bug! Can you shorten months to 3-letters? And sort transactions by timestamp with freshest on top? Some In/Out icon would be nice too.
Thanks for the feedback. Yes, I'll work in those display changes.

I'm working on setting up a news site, purchased nxtnews.co and of course the alias..
setting up a host and getting wordpress installed. plan on an honest, unfiltered outlet for articles, charts, and trends.
if anyone had any suggestions or wants to contribute, please let me know
We do have http://info.nxtcrypto.org as our news site that is updated very regularly. also there is a forum for news items discussion at https://forums.nxtcrypto.org/viewforum.php?f=49 please give it another shot - we've recently changed the site look. We're always happy for increased contribution in the forums! Hey opticalcarrier, thanks for those links, I know about nxtcrypto and have even contributed articles, but there is some biased editing going on there. i had articles killed on nxt gambling sites and more importantly on dgex adding fees. these are important things for the community to know, and its not acceptable to just pretend all is hunky dory. I'm not trying to pick a fight, but I think we as investors need to full story. I find it very strange that a thread on dgex adding fees was deleted on nxtcrypto.org Can you tell me when this happened and your user ID there? I will track it down, there are only few people there with those permissions and it wasnt me and if it was me it was by accident Pin

And that's way changings in basics of Nxt shouldn't be globally voted by coins.
There is no other way. ?! Accepton. Of new versions of servers/clients. If someone just release bogus Bitcoin-Qt/bitcoind, community just go away. They'll split up, talk some and then merge into stronger one. No thing like global voting needed. When I'm ( 1 real people) installing server and starting to forge, I'm voting for current implementation of ideas by actions. By coins — seems like absurd, we're coming back to question: What can't be decided by naturally acception, but can be decided by Global Voting? There's no such thing!

No, it won't, I'm not talking about blocks. I'm talking about mine and another Nxter's actions. We or install new Nxt, what someone suggest to install with new features, or not. And if new Nxt can't get as much attention of real people as old it'll fail. I'm aware of built-in voting decisions, it doesn't look healthy in worst scenarios. Too hard to get into Bitcoin some real changes and it's great power of decentralization. Global Voting slowly destoys it. Any Bitcoiner knows that if SHA256, say, changed all over the world to SHA512 in network it was happend not cos some big stakeholders decided to do so.

And with TF enabled any new idea (such as selling Aliases or freezing accs or even small updates, that'll change protocol) win only with biggest amount of forgers / all forgers existed, with real support of biggest part of current community. Amount of coins shouldn't matter, Nxt — not an asset in my eyes.
It's very important, IMO. "Voting by coins" vs "Voting by actions or real people".

Is anyone going to become a gateway between NXT and fiat when Asset Exchange is launched? That would be interesting to know how trust issue is planned to be resolved.
PS: Rewards will be given to 3 best implementations.
Iguazu waterfalls. Simply amazing. Found wifi on the road! Peercover is already a fiat gateway. So you can use it to convert NXT to USD. Nothing prevents a direct NXT/USD market, just would need to have enough people trading to make a decent market. Even without it, as long as there is an active NXT/XRP market, you can just send USD to yourself even if you don't have any USD and ripple will automatically convert the NXT -> XRP -> USD. You get to confirm prices before it actually does it. I will also push peercover to use the Asset Exchange, maybe it can actually be a front end to the ripple backend. Not sure yet. James

can anybody tell me how to verify those messages? his gpg key ID is in his forum signature at the end of every forum message is FF2A19FA so use this command: gpg --recv-keys FF2A19FA then copy the text of ONLY -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- and -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- with those 2 lines being the first and last, respectively into a FILENAME, then use: gpg --verify FILENAME

You know what I like about NRS?
It doesn't trash my HDD, like Bitcoin! And that's with 10 times more blocks per hour.
What are you guys using for the database? Some native Java thing?

Hi,
I think some of people are playing on price to downward it. I was checking and even there were above buy order the price given by me, the buy order was complete. They sold it with quick sell.
big price moves on dgex only prices pretty stable on ripple and I think also stable on nxtchg This indicates attempt at moving the price and not that the price has moved.

Highly unlikely that we'll have boundared center in thousand (even millions) of votings, but with implementation of Global Voting we're starting handling risk of built-in centralization. Built-out exist all the time, but it's easy to manage: I mean trusted core of people, that working. But if someone start to act like a non-wanted center, community just walk away, new core'll be born in no time (or with some time, if project was relatively small, ideas don't die until die last man informed!).
With built-in centralization things get worse with time. U can't run away from built-in centralization so easy, so u can from built-out.

There is no other way. Another way: Voting power by some logarithm of fraction owned of all coins, weighted by account age. The latter discourages endless scattering of NXT to circumvent the logarithm (which would be a real problem in a naked log system). Smaller, but older accounts could be on par with new big accounts in that system.

The latter discourages endless scattering of NXT to circumvent the logarithm (which would be a real problem in a naked log system). As if there is not enough bugs to fix already... now NXT needs more bugs with complicated algos to calculate votes, min fees, etc. I'd say, until major bugs are fixed, like those that allow to take down the network, everything else should be as simple as possible, no complex algos.
