To NXT devs and DGEX! It is very important !

1)
The DEVs are thinking if the price of NXT is low, people are willing to buy NXT, but it is wrong, people would buy coins when see price rising!

2)
We'll see on December 25 last year at around, price around 0.00012 NXT, why do so many people buy DGEX 24H turnover of more than 20 million NXT?
Now, on January 12, the trading volume was more than 1 million NXT DGEX 24H, only one in 20 of the original?

3)
Some say that BTC took 5 years of development, we don't have to worry, slow things down. I have to tell you, this is very wrong point of view.  BTC is the first virtual currency, virtual currency to open remote, no BTC, not all virtual currency. So,BTC in 5 years. Market impossible, NXT 3、5 years, NXT no developmented within one year, NXT does not come within a year, second generation of NXT will be similar virtual currencies, even third-generation and fourth-generation currency trampled to death!

Thanks!

I agree with the above points.

DGEX has been under attack since Jan 3rd....who is behind the attacks?

The good news is the trading situation is slowly improving with the addition of the new Exchanges.

I don't care if it's scam or not. I do care that someone censors threads on nextcoin.org.

Sorry, if I missed it, but was there an official answer concerning this matter from one of the moderators or Graviton?

I haven't seen an official answer but I got an answer from Graviton.

would you mind sharing the bottom line?

Interesting that the account number 12968364353024827435 sent 100,000 NXT to the account 100000. He is the owner of the domain Gridcoinnetwork.org.
I would like to know if he knows the password for the ID 100000 or did he sent it as a gift for the one who will get the account in the future.  Huh

My bet is that he doesnt know the password to that one  most likely that was a typo when he sent the same amount of coins to the field used for address

does nxt handle 256 character passphase?

I believe the cutoff is 100 characters.  But I dont believe there is anything preventing the use of a wallet.dat type client with 256bit long keys

Actually I use 512 characters, tried 511 and the account did not match.

Why? 32 truly random chars already give 256-bit entropy.

Well, I didn't know that ;-) and secondly, the password is saved in 1password. I Just do copy/paste just like I would with a 32 character password. So it's no biggie for me to use it like so.

Since we both know that Graviton has many trouble-tickets to go through, allow me to ask one more question:

Was the answer Graviton provided satisfying enough? - or the other way round, will you continue to post on nextcoin.org?

They probably won't add it anytime soon. Look, the new coins they added are just more clones, drop in replacements. They'd likely need to change some aspects of their backend to add NXT since the API is completely different. This isn't something that should be rushed.

Also I think it's a good thing... gives smaller developers that are working on dedicated NXT exchanges more of a chance to get noticed.

Is anyone going to become an NXT/fiat gateway when Asset Exchange is launched? I know about only 1 such case.

Many of the best features of NXT were copied from eMunie (i'm ducking now), but that is true. Ask yourself this, why did BCNext release NXT on November 24 2013 and not January 3 2014 like he said he would? He wanted to add things like the alias and make it look like it was his idea. eMunie has been using a naming system during beta testing for months and months (ENS). That's why the eMunie source code won't be released until after the launch. To prevent people taking eMunie ideas and rushing them into a new coin.

Nxt's strength is in Transparent Forging which is UNIQUE.....other features...Asset exhange, alias, arbitrary messaging is icing on the cake.

BCNext is being very wise for keeping TF under wraps.

+1

When do people get this? TF is king.

I care about BCNext and CfB!   Kiss

I do not have to know them.

Beyond self-interest... ROFLMAO!?! Ask them how they feel about increasing the number of people that have access to eMunie under the current status.

Considering you have the need to use terms as "threat"... do you even realize how distorted your perception is?   Undecided

You give your 'care' away quite cheaply if it goes to people you don't know. Do you think BCNext & CFB care about you? ROLMAO

You know nothing of them, and they know nothing of you, so your connection is purely about personal gain through working on NXT. Nothing wrong with that at all, but it isn't like the emunie core group.

Later it may develop, but if you care for them NOW you must be talking of religious care, so you must be a religious type, and so you probably care for me too, thanks Smiley I feel blessed and all warm and fuzzy lol

The eMunie guys have become friends (the core 20-30). You probably have friends who you are loyal to, so you must know the feeling of acting for the benefit of others over your own interest. It's the same as in a family group. It is powerful, and yes, it is above self-interest. NXT does not have that yet. NXT community is all about money & personal gain & status.

My use of the word threat? Here is the first definition I came across that matches my intended use:

"an indication or warning of probable trouble"

The trouble eMunie will bring is market share and a better acceptance in the business world. Nobody is coming over with bats and clubs looking for punch up.

You must be thinking of a definition like this:

"a declaration of an intention or determination to inflict punishment, injury, etc., in retaliation for, or conditionally upon, some action or course; menace"

I believe CFB has respect for Fuserleer's skill, and I think he knows what I mean by 'threat'. I think CFB would love to see how emunie work, and one day he will.

Repost from https://forums.nxtcrypto.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=530:

Thinking about vote weighting here:

One of the major issues with a voting system is deciding how to weight the votes.

As examples:

One NXT account = one vote will inevitably lead to the creation of zillions (or lots) of sock-puppet accounts purely for voting. Giving an account with 2 NXT the same voting weight as one with 2,000,000 is also unfair on larger stakeholders who have much more invested in NXT than the smaller accounts.

...

My proposal is:

One NXT = one vote, with depreciation of voting weight from a certain point.

...

Only problem I can see is that if a whale does want to unfairly influence voting they could split up his/her/its NXT holdings over multiple smaller accounts. However, this seems like a lot of work and would be visilble in the blockchain, if anyone cared to check.

Statement 1: there will be created zillions of sock puppet accounts
Statement 2: Creating hundreds of sock puppet accounts seems like a lot of work

We are working on putting a very simple broker type of service were people can buy NXT with EUR.
It will be very very simple and the sole purpose of it is going to be just give "easier" way of buying NXT without going through the hassle of getting btc and then converting.
I hope we will be ready in 1-2 weeks.

Are you kidding me? I guess you haven't been following NXT development at all, as many people are contributing their time and skills to make NXT better for everyone. Also, you're deluding yourself if you think the "core 20-30" of emunie are not acting out of self-interest (even a tiny bit).
