BCNext paid a team of core developers to help him with the client and create some functionalities like decentralized exchanges. One member of the core development team Come-from-Beyond was paid by BCNext to work on Nxt from December 2013 till April 2014. Come-from-Beyond is a 34 years old programmer from Belarus. On January 2014 joined Jen-Luc a core team as a non-paid programmer.

May I know how many core developers exist? BCNext paid your team - so how many people are in your "team"?

Klee's guys r supposed to work on the core too. Jean-Luc knows the details.

PS: I work since October (started with client part), also u can add that I live in Minsk, it's the capital of Belarus.

Still don't know whether to invest in this. I like the idea of it, but I don't think the program is easy enough to run for less technically minded people. Also there's no media buzz about it, when will it start to take off?

Litecoin is known as the silver of Bitcoins gold. Doge is mentioned due to it's meme popularity. What about NXT?

Basically I'm asking why should I buy some NXT?

no I am figuring all of this out on my own right now actually.  Are u talking of gavin andresen?  smart guy he would have seen through this.  Look, crypto currencies and transaction systems have been around a long time.  Satoshi's breakthrough was basing crypto currency on an unsolvable problem.  This made them scarce.

Furthermore, the image posted in your response is worthless.  Did you pay for it?  NO.  You copied and pasted it for free.  The digital image of the mona lisa is worthless because it is infinitely copyable.

The original painting of the Mona Lisa is very expensive because it is ONE OF A KIND AND NOT INFINITELY COPYABLE.

All "addresses" already exist. All you need to probably do is generate a random, unique password, then do:

http://localhost:7874/nxt?requestType=getAccountId&secretPhrase=PASSPHRASE

If by chance you hit on an existing account, you can check if it is, by doing

http://localhost:7874/nxt?requestType=getAccountPublicKey&account=xxx

which will generate an error 'unknown account' if the account does not yet exist (which is what you want).

You could also check for any transactions if you wanted.. but I don't think that's necessary.

Yes it is correct and it is how my exchange works. Generate a random string for each user at signup, use that as the secret passphrase, more security? Okay have a long ass random string a secret amd let the passphraae in the code as (userrandomstring+generalrandomstrin) amd you are set.

Hi Fatih, welcome to the forum. You can always create multiple accounts using multiple passphrases and use different ones for different purposes. For instance, some people use a separate accounts for registering aliases and storing NXT.

Privacy is a pretty hot topic, even though I don't see it discussed that often around here.
Does someone know about a debate with pros and cons on the privacy issue? I don't see governments accepting NXT if it is completly anonymous.

And don't kid yourself. For widespread adoption of this, you need the backing of governments. Not the banks, but the authorities.

Nxt already implemented this via Alias System. All that u need is to put into URI an encrypted account.

For widespread adoption of this, you need the backing of governments. Not the banks, but the authorities.

Nxt is government-incompatible. U should stick to fiat if u need compatibility.
