I'm ok with committee. It's a timesaver. Less debates and polls, more action. The other hand the committee will be taking the community members thoughts into consideration. Looks good to me.

Can we at least wait until we have a completed White Paper and Open Source Client. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills here! I would like to have a nice brief article explaining Nxt, Features, POS, and then at the bottom, a download link for one of the Open Source Clients. You can't throw arbitrary marketing ideas around and expect funding, be more specific. We need to wait until we have a one click client, or we will lose people forever.
All happening in next week or two. Marketing takes time. Plan, preparing it, releasing it. 2 weeks is not very long time James China will be the first one of the biggest Nxt market with the more exchange platforms adding Nxt I am contacting recently. +1 to allwelder, China as market could be huge (a la Bitcoin). We are already seeing how Chinese access to NXT drove the price up over the last couple of days. AFAIK someone sold like 500 NXT at one point for 0.25 BTC. I say: give the Chinese boys everything they ask for right now. Marketing/translations/localised clients.....whatever. A quick idea to finish on: We all know that the banhammer is coming down on Bitcoin (and other cryptos) very soon in China. We also all know that NXT will soon have an integrated Asset Exchange, freeing us from needing to use 3rd party exchanges such as DGEX, BTER, etc, and that this feature will be very useful in the current Chinese environment. No exchanges, true peer-2-peer currency exchange. The possibly crazy concept here is : will it be possible (or can it be implemented?) to exchange other cryptos such as Bitcoin thru the NXT asset exchange, or an add-on to the AE? If NXT could become a backdoor into (or out of) China for all other cryptos, things could get very interesting. And its morning in Beijing, I'm off to my bed.Yes ,EvilDave. With more and more people from china coming into Nxt,We provide them more information about Nxt. Websit: www.nxts.org (more than 100 PV per day) Weibo(like twitter): weibo.com/nxtcoin (more than 3550 followers) Video: i.youku.com/nextcoinWe also constuct a QQ(like skype) group( 258434732)to talk and answer the questions. But we still need exchange platform to exchange fiat to Nxt,isnt?

Release the code, yes, actively help FC, no.
What about other copycats? Of course not, if they believe in the technology they should invest in NXT and help make NXT bigger and better. AS for that FrictionTroll he doesn't even deserve to use NXT. That guy has been shitting on NXT and told me it was closed source, one I told him it wasn't he went on and made that thread. He's 100% a troll. I am all for open sourcing after we complete NXT and it lives on by itself, but there is absolutely no moral obligation for you to help anyone out with stealing all the hard work we are doing to make themselves rich. This is worse than hardcore capitalism.

Asking for help. My Nxt client 0.5.8 ran well last week, but yesterday I closed it abnormally (just close without using Control C.) Now my balance is correct in Nxt Blockchain exploer, but shows 0 Nxt banlance in the client.
And I downloaded 0.5.9, still 0 banlance, turn back to 0.4.8, still 0 banlance shows in the client. Anybody can solve my problem? Many thanks!
Try go back to 5.8, (or 5.9) delete the transactions.nxt and block.nxt files. Restart the Java client and allow it to re-build its local blockchain, then connect with yr browser. Thanks for the answer, but after doing that, I still have 0 Nxt banlance showed in my browser. While Nxt Blockchain has correct balance. And and Java client shows : ---- NRS 0.5.8 started successfully And I also tried 5.9, problem still not solved. Edit: and in my browser, "My transactions", "unconfirmed transactions" all shows 0.

Hmm,looks like it is? :-) Google translation: Today, the line for a famous cottage currency trading platform of the new currency NextCoin, and put its name in Chinese is called "future currency." Unexpectedly, in addition to the NXT currency called the future, there is the English name FutureCoin future currency, and has a domestic line on the new platform. Said to the children to see a bit after the "future money", a big wave white flock this platform, called FUC buying from this future currency, the price quickly pulled from 0.05 0.48 soared nearly tenfold .
translate briefly: The Bter exchange platform decide to add Nxt ,and they called Nxt as 未来币 in Chinese. There is really another coin named futurecoin and called 未来币 also in Chinese. So when some people heard that Bter will add 未来币,so they all pushing into buy futurecoin misunderstandingly, this cause that the price of futurecoin rised up 10X. Nxt help futurecoin a lot ,they should donate us some Nxt.

Noone with a sane mind would *ever* troll that hard. I am seriously willing to put up a few thousand NXT to pay for his first psych session.

Cool
Thanks, here is a link to the application http://speedy.sh/2Anh.. for macs 10.6+. It should work for any type of file. I am sorry, but we usually do not download apps from new users here. Expert must look at your app first to proof you aren't a hacker.

Here's the html to upload a file to a NXT message: https://gist.github.com/fermentNXT/8514468. 1. Download gist and copy to nxt/webapps/root/send-file.html. 2. Open http://localhost:7875/send-file.html3. Send a file! You can view the file at https://localhost:7875/message.html. If people like, I can add the ability to save. nxt: 4915862015826193000
