Can you politly ask him to write something down? we NEED this desperatly !
Asked ages ago, his position sounds like that (my wording): Satoshi's whitepaper has never been critically reviewed. This led to the situation when serious problems like Centralization, Selfish Mining, etc. were revealed too late. More problems will arise in the future (Huge Fees, Ecological Catastrophe). By refusing to write the whitepaper BCNext forces us to analyze Nxt concept as deep as possible.[offtopic] Had you noticed that when writing Satoshi and BCNext both used double spaces after periods? Just sayin'. [/offtopic] A lot of people do that. But yes,It's right. Spot on! Anyone did a forensic style of writing comparison between BCNext and Sataoshi. After a few minutes reading through both of their posts I see some obvious similarities in style and voice. Some things you can't place your finger on, just the voice coming though of a very efficient technical and well spoken person. Saw some glaring similarities like statements like 'I agree' and both tend to start posts with I. They both also often list things 1) 2) 3) etc, no unusual but another similarity. Anyone have any other similarities to share?

Any idea how many 1Mbps public nodes we need for strong stable NXT network to sustain 1000TPS. (That is just such a mind boggling number, but here we are planning for it!)
No idea. But 1000 Mbps hosting is cheap these days. And I doubt u could find less than 100 Mbps.

I want to provide a bounty for integration of a fully functional torrent client built into one of the nxt clients. Most importantly I want some type of decentralized magnet link system that provides useability at the level that a high quality torrent site provides (eg. Pirate bay level). I'm not a programmer/developer so I don't know, is this in some way possible? Is it a huge undertaking?
I would coordinate with nxtru ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345619.msg4739056#msg4739056) and nexern, perhaps they can put something together. Keep us all in the loop please, this is an important project for NXT.

Lightweight clients don't need full blockchain. That's why we need public nodes that will become Service Providers in the future.
Are service providers covered in detail in the wiki/whitepaper? I can't find any information on the subject...

Joefox has powered up our wiki. We now support LaTeX and can do really geeky things like We also have a quick guide to LaTeX. Not sure if everyone who needs to use LaTeX already knows it, so I haven't written much yet. If anyone needs a more in-depth tutorial, just let me know That's great! Can I import text from "tex" files? I need to read some papers...

That's interesting, thx for the link. Literally, that's how you get back transactions. 'balance(t1) - balance(t2) =/= 0' represents a transaction to an escrow account (as in coinjoin). So we get transactions back.
Qubic works another way. Transaction data can't be restored by having balances. But it still comes back to: how is the data distribution regulated? Who/what algo/incentives decide which node stores which piece of data?
Nodes that store and share data r granted with permission to issue new coins.

emunie blast from the past! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=303898.msg3390794#msg3390794Here we have BCNext predicting that the $1500 of BTC the founders invested will turn into a couple of million dollars within 6 months, or he will eat his hat! His hat is safe. The really funny thing is the post Dan the economics voodoo man posted In summary, he says there is no way on earth NXT valuation could possibly go that high and emunie is so much better than NXT. No idea. But 1000 Mbps hosting is cheap these days. And I doubt u could find less than 100 Mbps. I am thinking home users providing public nodes. Also, bandwidth is usually the most expensive thing when buying hosting, especially if it is a lot of bandwidth. A lot of times the listed 1000Mbps bandwidth is the size of the shared pipe, so each server doesn't get 100% of it. Of course, in Belarus probably they might. James

Now we know that BCNext wears a hat. What about Satoshi? Edit: I googled and found a man in a hat, something tells me that I've seen him somewhere:

Is anyone interested in sponsoring a chess tournament on ICC? (chessclub.com? ) ICC was founded back in 1991 (at that time it was known as ICS) -- long before google and and yahoo. It has hundreds of International Grandmasters and International master -- not to mention 30 thousand (and more) regular chess players who pay $60 a year membership fees. Here is a list of active ICC members http://www6.chessclub.com/activities/all_handles.phpThis is a list Grandmasters who play on ICC http://www6.chessclub.com/help/GM-bio(the list of International masters is much larger) A big chess tournament on ICC where the prize money is awarded in Nxt (must be enough money though to attack all the grandmasters) can attract media coverage OUTSIDE of crypto community. I emailed Martin Grund (one of the founder of ICC) and asked him if ICC would hold such a tournament where prize money would be in Nxt (donated by Nxt community) and they will advertise the tournament to their members, and in the media. Here is how that email exchange went: Martin Grund via messagingengine.com Feel free to reply to this email with your needs. On Fri, Jan 31, 2014, at 03:28 PM, ICC [XXXXXX] wrote: > Message sent to ICC user LateKnight from ICC user XXXX > hi. I need to talk to you XXXXX XXXXXX@gmail.com4:17 PM (9 hours ago) to Martin How about arranging a chess tournament on a large scale (could be $10,000 US dollar eqv)? The Nxt (it's crypto currency) stakeholders are spending money on promoting it. It currently has $60 million dollars market cap http://coinmarketcap.com/(see #5 Nxt) Someone did $500 worth of tournament on FICS where they currency was paid with Nxt. How about if I talk to the stakeholders to sponsor a tournament on ICC worth $10,000 ? They provide the money (in Nxt). You arrange the tournament on ICC with enough publicity to attract some press and GMs and IMs $10,000 is a lot of money in chess circles Martin Grund via messagingengine.com 4:19 PM (9 hours ago) to me It could happen if the monies were put in escrow. We would, in essence, show off their monetary systems capabilities in venues such as ours. Martin Grund via messagingengine.com 6:27 PM (7 hours ago) to me In fact, we too would toss some money into the fray. Marty Martin Grund via messagingengine.com 6:30 PM (7 hours ago) to me If it matters, I am an officer of ICC, a founding owner, VP and treasurer. the tournaments on FICS will take place in February. Regarding the prizefund on ICC (which is the commercial version of FICS and based on their code): We have to think about the best balance between prizefund and publicity. 10000$ are a nice pricefund for a chess tourney, but you won't get 20x participants compared to 500$ prizefund for an online tournament. although you might get press cover on sites as chessvibes, since with 10k$ their will be many grandmasters participating.

referencedTransaction is used to "chain" transactions together. If transaction "A" is referenced in transaction "B" then "B" won't be confirmed until "A" is confirmed.

That's interesting, thx for the link. Ah, damn, that's the German site. Sorry for that. Official sites of W3C: Concepts and Abstract Syntax: http://www.w3.org/TR/2004/REC-rdf-concepts-20040210/Semantics: http://www.w3.org/TR/2004/REC-rdf-mt-20040210/One advice in case you dig futher: never use RDF and XML together. Literally, that's how you get back transactions. 'balance(t1) - balance(t2) =/= 0' represents a transaction to an escrow account (as in coinjoin). So we get transactions back.
Qubic works another way. Transaction data can't be restored by having balances. That's gonna be interesting. How could one possibly obscure changes in balances which equals transaction from/to escrow accounts?

referencedTransaction is used to "chain" transactions together. If transaction "A" is referenced in transaction "B" then "B" won't be confirmed until "A" is confirmed. omg so I don't really need the recent block headers to make a transaction and sign it in the android version? creating an sms gateway is INSANELY easy to make! lets see if I can make this happen soon.... Guys who would help me test this if I open the gateway in thier country? I am in the philippines and somethig is telling me aint alot of people interested here .
