wrong it was 01/26, now tell me how can some one be that wrong about project date and launch, in my company I fired him imidiatly.

I am the only one seing the big red flags here, they are all blinded by the mesiah his words, they lost all feeling with facts.

This is going down so fast I wont be able to sell all my investment, but had a good ride tough

quick apphub update.

have tested all basic functions account/alias/amessage (asset exchange close to complete) so far and it's working as expected, fast and stable but
there is a problem with keyphrases containing unicode characters. utf-8 encoding at codelevel is working but the gui engine supports iso 8859-15.

working on this.

Good news! When can we test it?  Tongue

this not so good, because as mentioned above existing accounts with unicode keyphrases are not supported this way. this has to be solved.

The setup using the secret phrase is unfortunately not a universal solution.  It depends on what browser you were using when you set it up.  If you happened to be on windows browser, then you won't have UTF-8 encoding.  So when you walk up to another machine, say an android phone, your pass phrase won't work in certain cases.

This is just a flaw that really doesn't have a solution.

Looks like I am god of the software development ! You could login both dotNXT and web browser using the same password in windows. dotNXT is using Unicode inside... Oh wait. Maybe it's not an unsolvable problem?

In one of his early posts Emule said that he was willing to put 7 figures of investment into NXT.

So let's say he bought high - now he's bashing the investment and trying to lower the value...

Nice story bro.

just an idea, would it not be better to have ppl with fewer nxt receive more nxt from forging and richer ppl less.. theres always going to be alot more ppl with a small amount. there for if they get more from forging you will have alot more ppl forging and because the fees go more to the poorer ppl the distribution would over time be better!? im not complaining about richer ppl getting more fees.. i know thats the way things normally happen rich get richer ect.. just thinking of distribution and the number of ppl forging.. im just guessing that the more ppl forging the faster transactions get confirmed? correct me if im wrong?

Yes I think it is a ggod idea that someone who got a few next from a faucet should have a bigger return on their investment than someone who has risked hundreds of BTC.
NOT

ok and answer me this... how many people would you need forging if the whole world wer using nxt. i mean billions of ppl... iv given up forging cos its just not worth it. the more the distribution gets better the fewer very wealthy accounts there are.. to make forging worth wile you need a fairly decent amount.. 10k coins just duznt cut it. what happens when there is only a handfull of rich ppl forging and billions of ppl using it. to many transactions and too few forgers. fail. regular ppl will not forge unless its worth there time. its guna get to the stage where theres just not enough forgers to process tx's. if you want a fair system.. with out monetary greed getting a grip.. yes.. give the ppl with the smallest amount the highest fees. you will have by FAR the best distribution. it will encourage new comers that are afraid of putting money in because they will be able to put 10 euro in and make a nice profit..(not much for a tenner but very high percentage.) at the end of the day all its doing is taking away the incentive to hoard millions in one account. increasing distribution and then maintaining it. millions of new ppl will be forging. the system may be able to do 1000tps but you need the forgers to do it. and enough of them. taking from EVERYONE not just the rich (tx fees) and giving to the poor. the true robbin hood of crypto. you want nxt to go global. get the 99 percent on board... the 1 percent will be forced to follow! think of the media hype you would get over it. eventually it will level out and most accounts will be getting the same amount of fees. and il say again who cares if the rich split there accounts... the numbers will say distribution is evenly spread.. no hefty whales "waiting to dump" putting fear on the market!!!

This won't work. It will just give incentive to whales to distribute their money on more accounts. This doesn't help as they won't get more bandwidth, they will just run the client multiple times.

I think a good solution could use transparent forging to determine not the next one account to forge a block, but determine which next ten (or X) accounts would forge under current conditions and split the rewards between those accounts according to their contribution.

I think this might really be a bug on their website. It happened to me few times and i thought i simply did some typos but weird thing is, every time this happens i typed like 5 times my password very slowly and i still thought wtf, another typo what is wrong with me.

But since i know 100% that my password is correct, instead of resetting password, what i did was to clear up all internet cache and history etc, then i log in again.
Sometimes i simply change a different browser and that works.

So do what i do first before resetting password or you will probably get yourself into more trouble.

thanks.
different browser once, now same prob.

If i do short passwords like 10signs it works fine.... :/

Is this possible even YES or NO?

Would it be beneficial?

Does anyone know when new features are being released?

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, a timeline (ETA) would be nice (and I think others agree)

The main question is, if it is possible to determine and proof the contribution of different accounts to the block. I have not looked at the specific code, but as transparent forging is able to determine how long it takes for one account to forge i think it shoul dbe possible.

It is just not possible to determine who will produce the next 1000 blocks, but it should be possible to see who contributed to the most recent block.

Losses Cheesy

I had 2 accounts 50M,

Have stilll 1 account left with 50M and the other sold half way Cheesy

3 account was a little one 15M already sold out.

did all this without hurting or killing the coin, but seen the recent developments I can not garantee that for the future.

What is this? a threat?

Dump them already, you wouldn't be the first, i doubt the last, but you'll regret it. Your loss, and no skin off our nose. The community doesn't need someone with this mentality - to me, your attitude implies you have an agenda, of which is to directly cause harm to NXT, whether through exchange manipulation or through causing concern. The sooner you're gone, the better. Dump them.

I still hope Nxt will have pool forging implemented at some point. come from beyond tweeted about it some time ago.
so everyone gets the same interest % (although very low). that would make it even fair-er.

Its just a concept now, but if NXT distribution will be better it could be a feature.
The concept is about leasing forging power to a Pool (Forging Hub) without sending money to another account.

more details:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345619.msg4410102#msg4410102

I think that quoted text is very important.

Todays forging is like mining Bitcoins with GPU or altcoins solo mining.

In case I could tell somebody: Nxt is great, you can forge instead of mining and it is so good and future. He will believe me and buy 10.000 NXT. In case he will actually forge every week NXT, he will be so happy and tell it to his friends etc.. This situation will not happend until pooled forging without sending money to the pool will work.

In case price will go up, newcomers will not have enough money to buy even 10k or 1k NXT for forging.

We must have solid answers for these kind of questions, people on the other crypto are not stupid.

absolutely!!!
I think emule should add it to his list  Wink

but seriously, the devs know about this feature and its possible in general.
After all the main features are implemented and tested it will be realized by it self if there is an demand.
This is a nice effect of open source platform !!!

...

well could you do what i said and also have it so every account forging must be providing bandwith? if thats even possible?

That would at least not be trivial to do. You could call it proof of bandwidth and create a new altcoin.
