100 TPS is a good number too. After we test this rate we will see if it's feasable to add one zero more.
Okay - I hope those doing the marketing will note this and try to not add that extra zero for now - Bitcoin is only currently *capable* of doing 7 TPS at this point after all so a more than 10 fold increase I think should be enough for at least a year.

We need some idea as we plan to implement this feature.
Ok, let's brainstorm. 1) Who would be able to code this feature? Any apprentice Java coder.

Maybe Nxt should aim for a more conservative 100 TPS to avoid ending up looking very silly in a few months time.
100 TPS is a good number too. After we test this rate we will see if it's feasable to add one zero more. 100 TPS is still a lot of transactions...8.64 million in 24 hours. Dude. We still need blockchain pruning capability and we need it NOW. And we need to dial back our claims if we are dialing back our expectations, and we need to dial those claims back NOW.

Tell me again how I can forge with my smartphone? What are the details of a hypothetical "lightweight client"?
U will lease forging power. And u don't need complete blockchain coz u can send transactions via public nodes (Service Providers in the future).

And the team and the bounty that is working on a pruning algorithm RIGHT NOW to support a 300 GB Blockchain (holy crap!) is? ? Is this more important or less important that selecting a Turing complete language for NXT??? My vote is obvious. Turing complete language is just for fun.

I'm not sure we need 10 GiB per day coz BCNext has some ideas about Parallel Chains. If u can't handle so much data, then don't use all the blockchains.

If you want to kick visa in the ass, here we are. Decentralized, capable of making 1000 TPS. Fuck visa".

Indeed - so I don't think there is any need to panic about getting the blockchain shrinking done overnight either. I am more concerned with marketing campaigns that end up becoming a PR disaster due "ridiculously over optimistic" promises. A product that delivers its promises is respected much more than one that "promises the moon" but never actually delivers.

1. Ask the coder. 2. No. Do we need TF to be fully implemented 1st?
