Batch 2 is not being shipped, yet. Only batch 1. Just received my batch 1 today.
Based on the list linked to, anything after around May 17-18 would have to be batch 2 since batch 1 was sold out by then. No. None of those are likely to be actual batch two orders. As I pointed out in a previous post an hour or so ago, the one where I linked to that list in the first place, those are probably just batch one orders where the transaction did not get confirmed until recently which means someone didn't include enough fee so they were stuck in the mempool. There's no indication that they are batch two orders.

You can buy a bitmain device to ship in two months or an innosilicon one to ship immediately. So right this minute, bitmain is losing sales to a competitor. If they have parts to build and ship miners now, then they probably would prefer to be doing so. Very likely they still have time to get parts and build miners in time for the promised batch two sales no matter what, so not shipping anything now when they could be costs them money and supports their competitor.
The flip side of course is that flooding the market like they did with the D3s would seriously piss off the people who bought the Z9s. But then again, pissing off their customers has never seemed like a concern for them.
Shipping batch #2 too early would virtually guarantee that batch #1 customers would need to be compensated further than the $250 coupon. Batch #1 customers are already angry. I agree bitmain doesn't really care how mad their customers are, that is until it starts affecting their bottom line. If they ship batch #2 too early there will be absolutely no incentive in the future to be an early adopter of their products. Aside from the greedy folks, people will just start waiting for the discounts, and it will become hard for bitmain to gauge demand. Bitmain and innosilicon are targeting 2 different types of miners as well. Bitmain is targeting hobbyist/home miners/first time miners, whereas innosilicon is going after the "big fish". Not everyone is willing to take a $10k+ gamble, whereas $850 is a more acceptable risk/reward for most people. I also doubt they've had time to assemble all the units. My guess a few weeks ago was 10k units in batch #1. My guess for batch #2 is a bare minimum of 25k units, possibly a lot more. 642 2018-05-29 17:23:27 50 643 2018-05-29 19:40:31 1 644 2018-05-31 17:53:12 1 645 2018-05-31 19:49:00 1 646 2018-06-01 10:17:38 1 647 2018-06-05 17:31:34 1 648 2018-06-12 09:37:17 1 649 2018-06-12 20:06:56 1 650 2018-06-13 07:19:37 1 651 2018-06-14 18:57:54 2 652 2018-06-15 18:04:24 1 653 2018-06-20 13:42:27 1 654 2018-06-20 20:44:39 1 655 2018-06-20 20:44:39 1

I've been wondering what happened here as well. There is probably an explanation considering they skipped over weeks worth of orders. Still wouldn't doubt that some people got lucky though.

Might be just in-correct payments being adjusted later, or something like that. I seriously doubt any are batch 2.

Yeah, you only had to pay 50% to get a batch-1 order submitted: but you needed to pay the other 50% before they'd ship it to you. Those long-tail people probably only sent half as a deposit... so had to go scrape up more BTC as soon as they saw other people were getting shipping notifications.

No, batch #1 customers were expeceted to pay in full. They probably honored a few orders that weren't paid in full right away, but the 50% option was not offered until batch #2.

Based on what I am seeing on my Z9 so far I am not that hopeful at this point it is going to ROI. There must be some secret place everyone else is mining that is getting them great numbers. So far I haven't seen it. Just hoping it will keep earning like this for some time or there is no way to get ROI. Bitmain tossing some crappy coupons at us was an insult.

I'm not sure what results you are getting but if I can sell my mined ZEC at .025 (lower than current price) then based on how much ZEC I mined in the last 24 hours (0.17894627) I only need 50 days to make back the 0.21924398 BTC that the miner cost. I know all of those variables will look worse over time but starting at a 50 day ROI is pretty spectacular in today's hardware market. I strongly suspect that even a very pessimistic view of prices and hashrate increase should still yield at least a break even.

Unless you were paying fiat, or planning on converting from BTC to fiat, then you need to consider ROI of the .21 BTC it cost back in batch 1. Not explicitly $2,000 in today's market. In any case, I am all-in on ZENcash. Very cheap at the moment for a previously consistent rank #80 - #99 CMC. 1 * Z9 overclocked = 1.5-1.8 ZEN per day it seems.

They are announcing as "latest rounds" on their new Twitter. Orders are first paid, first shipped and they will ship out early if available. My batch 2 order was paid and confirmed on June 5. Others buying batch 2 may have only done the 50% down, which doesn't guarantee you any shipping until fully paid. I highly doubt there were over 100 orders that were waiting over 4 weeks to confirm after batch 1 was sold out. Guess I'll find out soon enough. Getting my batch 2 early would be nice since I got fucked on batch 1.

My paid date\time is 2018-06-05 23:52:57 which would have placed it inside the dates on that last list of shipped miners. So if they were really shipping batch two, I would have been in that list and I wasn't (sounds like you would have been too). My specific date\time is not in the list and I didn't get any email saying it had shipped. Whatever the reason those people had such delayed paid date\time I think we can be pretty certain they are all still batch 1 orders.

whats the best way to power this z9 miner? I have a apw3++ and I can plug it to 120 volt or 240 volt. Which one is best with just one z9 mini? The z9 mini does not use much power so the power efficiency drops off fast if your running below 50 percent of the apw3++ capacity.
Would 120 volt be better since it maxes out at 1000 watts? 240 volt is 1800 watts and using a z9 mini makes it way below efficiency curve? is this correct way of thinking or no?

120v is fine. Elec companies bill you based on watts used, not volts. There is very little difference between watts used at 120v vs 240v. Doubt you could even measure the difference it would be almost identical.

What does the efficiency number indicate? I run tons of stuff on 120v and 240v, don't notice much of a difference in efficiency in anything.
