I needed 300 confs..... maybe its written somewhere. BTC needs 6, thats 1 h.. It seems like every damn pool I switch to ends up going down.
Netcodepool, Cryptovalley, Dogepool.pw
This is just getting stupid. Now I have random coins lingering in the wallets of each site.
I feel your pain try multipool...it's stable! but...i've done a deposit in cryptsy, it's in penmding with 225 confirmations!!!

It's interesting to see how people are complaining about pools on multiple forums while P2Pool works like a charm with a consistent payout...
So much this. Plus, they don't suffer from DDOSing. Guys, make use of the --failover-only command in cgminer, so that if pool A goes down your miner automatically switches to pool B or C and so on. Example usage:cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://doge.netcodepool.org:4094 -u yourusername -p yourpassword --failover-only -o stratum+tcp://doge.scryptpools.com:3333 -u yourusername -p yourpassword --failover-only -o http://37.187.25.91:9555 -u yourDOGEaddress -p yourpassword --failover-only -o http://pool.hostv.pl:9555/ -u yourDOGEaddress -p yourpassword --temp-target 72 --auto-fan -I 13 -w 256 -g 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-engine 1020 --gpu-powertune 0 Has worked like a charm for me. Two normal pools and two p2pools. Since I prefer a pool where I can check on my workers via a website, I have set the p2pools as failover C and D. But I recommend using p2pool if you have a decent hashrate. Hi, I have about 90.000 khs. Why do you recommend me only using p2pool and not a 'normal' pool? Thanks! if i use this command and list three pools in raw. but let say the first one is my preferred one. lets say i run this, and i walk away form comp. after an hour my first pool goes down. this would mean the second pool will take over.. but if my first pool starts working 10 minutes after it first went down. would this see that my first pool went back online and switch back? or it would stay at the second pool , regardless if the first one come up again?

The frustration of miners trying to find a good pool is matched only by the frustration of buyers waiting to get their damn BTC/LTC deposits confirmed on these glacially-slow exchanges
Imagine my stress because i'm doing both.

For anyone looking for a trustworthy pool run by experienced pool ops - try us. Cant promise that we won't go down but we've been running pools for FTC/WDC for quite some time now and have had very little down time. We have DDoS protection, dedicated servers and multiple stratum servers spread around the world so you can always have secondaries set up for failover. Now, all that said and done, if someone hits us too hard, we'll go down too. It's unavoidable.... welcome to crypto. Also, it's not unheard of for the front end to stall and stop processing payouts etc. All shares are still counted and blocks are still processed by the back end but updates to the web front end stop. Don't worry - you loose nothing, it's just delayed. (unfortunately we ops have to sleep form time to time! ) We DO know how to run pools though and dont have to "reset the DB due to a glitch!". your coins are safe. So in the defense of ALL the pool ops out there, it's a LOT of work and stress to run a pool and it does break! Providing the OP knows what they are doing - it will be fixed and you'll get your coins sooner or later! Remember to set a low enough auto payout! Now fellow doggers (that aint right...), come help us with this shitty round! https://doge.nut2pools.comNut

every f.ing pool owner says our pool is super! but some hours later we see their pool go down or scamming ppl!
THIS! Pools are having a tough day today with Dogecoin rising so much, just stick with the one you were in and don't let the coins pile up. Withdraw every 1000 or so, the higher the sum you have pending withdrawal the higher the chances you get screwed over. The golden rule for using pools is - Keep in mind how untested pools are most likely to be scams and how most pools are amateur. Don't rely on them nor their rep too much or you will get screwed eventually. Just use them carefully & dump them if they start proving themselves unreliable or fishy.

I really hope it hits 1 cent. If I could build a machine with at least 1 mh/s I'd consider this a huge success and mine forever.
