I dont get all the cries of 'copycat coin'. Sure the underlaying code is the same but so what? If a new coin comes out and markets itself better to a wider audience then that makes it better than what it copied from no? It improves upon it and makes it more accessible which in turn makes it unique in its own way. Being the first doesnt entitle something to be considered the best just because the elite few are stuck in their ways and dismiss anything else that comes after. People shout 'tell me whats unique about doge' - those people should tell us whats unique about litecoin, because being first doesnt make it unique. We find doge unique because it has been shouted about across social networks and grown into something of a craze within a week. We find it unique because its fun and stands out from a crowded marketplace of 'me too's'. That uniqueness may not last - but right now it does, for me at least.
Exactly this so called copycat has done what no other coin in existence has. Made crypto mainstream, ppl need to understand that adoption of cryptocurrency is exactly what all of us who want decentralized currency to succeed. Greedy jerks like Mirsad are the same as those who control currency in governments currently. Let's remember its nice to make money but this coin is a currency not just a means to convert to dollars. Forgetting that is forgetting the entire reason for crypto. I don´t cry nor complain about copycat coin - there are only few unique coins based on different algorythms (BTC, LTC, PPC, XBT), others had to somehow exceed original code and bring something new to survive and prove their right to existence. Bad thing is that DOGE with all its potential in social networks (and REALLY retarded but hyper favorite internet meme) doesn´t bring anything new, not even POS (!!!). All its potential is wasted from beginning... Do any of You remember CrafCoin??

If cryptsy was quicker, much quicker, we would be able to trade across exchanges to help with other volumes while multiplying our doge!

Who's paying? I mined my meillions and had a blast doing it. Cost me about $10 in electricity and have many $1000's sitting with the price as it is now. Buy on fear, sell on greed. When we going to hear you pump DOGE? That's right, we wont 'cause your just a fear monger mongrel. We be full blooded DOGEs I don't believe in copycoins. There are only a handful of "unique" coins like bitcoin (SHA-256), litecoin (scrypt) and a few cpu-only coins. The rest is just copy the opensource, edit names and parameter, create the blocks, premine and release. There is NO benefit from these coins. BTW: Mining during the first 1-5 days of a new scamcoin is allways very profitable. But nobody knows if they keep rising or falling down hard. And a few 1000$ in 2 days is enough for me (measured on electicity costs). I also mined $2k worth of DOGE and I don't plan to bother selling because it is hardly life changing. The opportunity cost of holding these coins is... nothing by my standards. I am just happy I was mining these between diff. 7-25. If they go nowhere... no big deal.

what does "Orphaned" mean?? are those doges lost, or do i just have to wait longer for them to be confirmed? Orphaned are lost, it (simplified) happens when You (or your pool) find a valid block, which then will be overruned by another block found by other person / pool at same time and validated by major part of network. Same as stale but in bigger picture.

This guy is a scam, I never received the 1000 doge he promised for signup - nor did he answer my private message where I asked for the 1000 doge. I actually never received any of the bonuses promised for anything. People just open up pools, promise stuff, never deliver and close the pool taking the DOGEs with them.

Just recently sent out to everyone. Still have plenty more to giveaway! This guy is a scam, I never received the 1000 doge he promised for signup - nor did he answer my private message where I asked for the 1000 doge. I actually never received any of the bonuses promised for anything. People just open up pools, promise stuff, never deliver and close the pool taking the DOGEs with them. Have you ever tried out a giveaway thread? I just recently sent out more doges to people. Check out that thread above and post your address to participate in the giveaway!
