Lol, DOGE is now way below LTC in daily profit. Time to boost the price a bit, drop the difficulty, either or. But I prefer the former. Wink

BTC was down around $310 on Gox less than an hour ago... I think we need to give it some time to see how DOGE reacts to the halving :]

MtGox does not affect other BTC markets. They never did. They are selling cheaper to recover losses and to buy in again. They are scamming people. Reason why their price was high above the other markets. Now they want to buy in cheap. Bunch of bloodsucking leaches. Worst thing is that people fell for the whole scam!

The price really is in the hands of the big holders. At the moment they are selling coins in large chunks every time the price creeps us. There's nothing we can do about that except buy them up. Eventually the buy strength will be so strong (like yesterday) that 20BTC walls will just be bought up in one order and 30 BTC dumps don't stop the rise up.

Actually nothing happened yet. Most of miners are sleeping, while their rigs mine non-profitable DOGE. Just not switched yet.

Because it is NOT going to the moon! Not anytime soon, not even later...Because? The market is being manipulated, just like LTC and BTC. Just take a look at the huge sell walls on Cryptsy, from 270 and up, every 2-3 cents up, there is a huge wall. All there just to keep the price from rising. All miners are being played, all daytraders are being played. I am stunned that no one wants to believe that.

Just recap on recent events, Doge being pulled of Cryptsy a couple of times, the drop the last couple of hours to 245, only for the whales (Chinese) to get 10% profit over you backs in the last 3-4 hours. And it is NOT moving past 300. Seriously...

Ah! It looks like I was spot-on with my expectation that 3 AM GMT would be halving time (7 PM PST).
Good also to see that the swooshing sound of the passing halving deadline did not affect Doge a bit, in fact it is slightly increasing in value,
after a small dip from people panic-selling.
I was lucky that it fell through the buy level that I had set earlier and I picked up a couple more "cheap" Doge
(these were actually the most expensive that I had bought until now)
Unfortunately it barely stayed away from my next lower level buy, just above the wall at 239, so that order is still waiting...
Network hash rate has not changed a bit since the halving, as expected these things might take a while if at all - the most noticeable will be a reduction in coin supply, so naturally there will be less selling going on (less dilution of the market cap)
But that is all theory - only time will tell what will happen!

You are right that MtGox no longer affects the Bitcoin value that much - there still is some influence (all prices go down while MtGox is
crashing) but there has been a disconnect between MtGox and the others simply because MtGox has become an "island". It was almost
impossible to get dollars or other fian in or out of MtGox after Dwolla was forced to stop providing services and they had plenty other
problems with fiat exchangers, so that is why the MtGox BTC dollar price was so extremely high - to reflect the trouble you would need
to go through to get your money out.
On top of that, they decided to halt any Bitcoin withdrawals, meaning that it became almost impossible to get your money in BTC out while it was already very difficult to get fiat currency out of MtGox - that decision was a certain way to death and the resulting crash is no more than logical, you can see the disconnect with all other exchanges that are around $600 per BTC while MtGox is at 300. IF it would be possible to transfer, that would be an easy money generator!
I was extremely lucky that two weeks ago I was considering to change my positions instead of a large diversification, move more into Doge
as well as invest in moolah, so one of the things I did was to transfer my MtGox BTC balance to Cryptsy. Just in time. I really feel bad for the people trapped in MtGox and panicing, selling at lower and lower levels to try to stop their bleeding by taking huge losses. Investors with a strong footing probably can benefit by taking the risk and effort of getting fiat money into MtGox and buying cheap BTC, then let their balance sit until MtGox has fixed their double-spend problems (detect modified / malleable TxID) and re-open withdrawals...
In other words when they "stop being an island" again...

WE NEED DOGE<-->FIAT,so bitcoin prices dont affect to doge anymore.

Btw,which is the best (most profitable) coin to mine right now?Been mining doge for 1.5month,and now after reward halving,i make only ~3500Doge/day Sad  ,unless difficulty will drop like 50%.
I can easily make that a double by mining some other coin and dumping them and buying doge.

Just by daytrading other coins i make 5000-10000 a day,so mining doge isnt that smart.

Im holding all my doges. My 1Mil doge target is closer everyday Smiley GO DOGE
