Emercoin 0.5.2 Release available!

What's new:

1) Merged with bitcoin 0.10.4. This allows to create transactions that cannot be spent until certain time/height.
2) QT and CLI now has unicode support by default (Univalue lib). This will display Unicode symbols in name value, but please note: do not use it for binary data.
3) RPC can also enable unicode, but you need to specify "-legacyrpc=0" in your emercoin.conf.
4) Name commands now have parameter for binary input/output as a hex or base64 encoded strings.
5) Some minor bugfixes (emercoin-cli could crash client during client startup).
6) More info about wallet lock state in getinfo ("encrypted": true, "mintonly": true)
7) Added ENUM support (http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/ENUM)

Worth watching this for Merged mining anymore? 6 months since the announcement. Last I read somewhere this latest one was supposed to have it.

I dont know all backgrounds, but suppose that SegWit must be implemented somehow as well, so it is not a trivial task.

not sure if there is supposed to be. but I'm just mining EMC normally. For some reason I thought I was merge mining it but I'm not and have no idea if there will be...

There is a big announcement page on here from June.  Make a huge deal out of it to get into bitcoin news sites. They said in an issue in the repo early November that they were working group on it and the next release should have it if I remember right.

Probably people pulling out. Seems people aren't happy about the merge mining lie would be my guess. They announced it 6 months ago. Some people were calling it attention grabbing. When you ask them about it they tell you about all the miraculous work they've done or say - next release. It must shake people faith.

Thanks only my 2 cents. Valid enough a reason as any to liquidate holdings though. Sold mine already.

nah man bitcoin price is sky high anything not in the top ten cryptos is getting dumped everyone wants some BTC right now with the prospect of hitting $1k+ forget about it......expect even bigger dumps when we cross $1k

The merge mining announcement was not a lie, it was simply unofficially postponed to work on higher priority fixes and improvements. Also, why would you think that would make or break the coin?
