According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in
Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it
will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Kiev's Brief Truce Shatters in Bursts of Gunfirehttp://www.nytimes.com/2014/02/21/world/europe/ukraine.htmlViolence in Ukraine Creates Deepening Clash Between East and Westhttp://www.nytimes.com/2014/02/20/world/europe/violence-in-ukraine-creates-deepening-clash-between-east-and-west.htmlFrom the second article: << Expressing alarm at the escalating death toll, Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany and President François Hollande of France blamed the security forces of President Viktor F. Yanukovych and made it clear that they supported a political transition that would allow Ukrainians to elect a new government. After meeting with Mr. Hollande in Paris, Ms. Merkel said the convulsion of violence resulted from a "deliberate delaying tactic" by Mr. Yanukovych to avoid a compromise and preserve his place in power. Russia, by contrast, vowed to use all its influence to support Ukraine's government and joined Mr. Yanukovych in accusing his opponents of trying to seize power in what amounted to a coup. In one of its most pointed statements since the political crisis in Ukraine began, the Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry even evoked the Brown Revolution that brought the Nazis to power in Germany in 1933, blaming "criminal activities of radical opposition forces" for causing the bloodshed and denouncing European countries for failing to acknowledge that. Russia's foreign minister, Sergey V. Lavrov, accused the West of "encouraging the opposition to act outside of the law". >>

Please someone from Ukraine tell me more specific about it. How many people (or % of population) support/against these protests? What's the main purpose of these protests? Okay they want freedom, but how? What's their expectations after everything ends? We had similar incidents here in Turkey 8 months ago. Police killed 6 people. It was about fascist government, but nothing change yet. Fascist government still fuck everybody up, which is unbelievably stronger. I don't want to read news articles anymore, I want to know your views.

Lanochka, do you know Maksim Plakhtiy?
If there are concerns about people donating bitcoin, if you can work together with him, I can vouch for you and accept coins on your behalf, sending them to you and Maks as soon as I get them. I'm somewhat well known here, so maybe could help (for free of course).

Maksim and I grew up together practically in the same кoляcкa. Our moms were close friends, and we were born at about the same time, and were friends growing up. So he is the only one I trust there, and since he helps with IT, I figure he would be best to handle cryptocurrency donations. Though that could also put him at risk. I don't know who ПPABИЙ CEКTOP is, or if the people running it can be trusted. Do not send your bitcoins to Maidan. Do not support terrorism!
It is only terrorism when someone is trying to terrorize the people. It is not terrorism when someone is trying to terrorize the government. Governments should be afraid of their people, not the other way around.
