Oh I wasn't implying anything was your fault. Just saying as someone who manages websites, I know how it feels dealing with hackers, spam and other kinds of bullshit.

I follow the solomining instructions here http://lottocoin.org/mining.php but it doesn't work. Should we replace * in rpcallowip=10.1.1.* rpcconnect=127.0.0.* in the conf file by specific numbers? I'm new to it and hope you guys can walk me through.

No, normally it should work.

Why are you thinking that it isn't working? What do you get in CGMiner?

1. I install the wallet, waiting for it to sync.

2. I create a config file, locate in ...\Roaming\Lottcoin with these lines
listen=1
daemon=1
server=1
rpcuser=xxx
rpcpassword=yyy
rpcallowip=10.1.1.*
rpcport=16384
rpcconnect=127.0.0.*
addnode=66.187.66.28
addnode=121.73.172.41

3. I config my Cgminer as

cgminer.exe --scrypt -o localhost:16384 -u xxx -p yyy -I 19 -g 1 -w 512 --thread-concurrency 14336

Cgminer starts for a while, then it reports that "No pool or invalid URL..."

Thanks for your help.

After 24 hours pool mining @nut2pools I am a bit disappointed about my rewards, because they are much lower than I have expected.

24 hours mining @732 kh/s gave me 120000 LOTs

I have monitored the difficulty over this time and the difficulty was between 1 and 1,5 on average.
Using this calculator (http://www.virtualnet.hr/lottocoin-mining-calc/) with 730 kh/s and a difficulty of 1.5, it calculates between 275k-390k coins per day depending on the projected rewards per block, so 2x-3x more coins than I got.

Why is that? I thought with the combined bigger hashrate of a pool the factor luck is decreasing and you get rewards which are closer of that what is estimated.

Because of this I have decided to give solo mining a try.
If I have solo mined the last 24 hours, my rewards had been much better than pool mining.
Using the litecoin mining calculator (https://www.litecoinpool.org/calc) only for calculating the expected time per block by setting
hashrate @730 kh/s
difficulty @1.5
it shows me a expected time per block of 2 hours 27 min. So lets say with a bit of bad luck I would need 4 hours on average for mining one block of 32896 coins (average of 256 and 65536 coins per block, superblocks excluded).
So my estimated coins should be 197376 (32896*24/4) referring to a worse case, but they would be still much higher than with pool mining.

Pls correct me, if that's wrong calculated.

On these grounds I will try solo mining. Do you think it's still profitable for me with 730 kh/s if the difficulty rises to 2-3?

And could you please confirm that I have typed in everything correctly? I'm a bit unsure, because it's my first time solo mining.

This is my lottocoin.conf (do I have to replace the "*" with a specific number or is it right?)
saved @ C:\Users\Phil\AppData\Roaming\LottoCoin

And this is my setting on guiminer

If I press start it starts mining without an error, so it works correctly?
And do I have to put my wallet address (LkB53APhKZnWfkfvjZx2hZDLGG7rXf8aKg) somewhere, that my guiminer knows whereto send the rewards?

Thanks a lot for answering! Smiley
Phil

Something weird is going on with nut2pool. I tested them for 4 hours then hackshardgaming and finally solo. The return was significantly smaller than from nut2 than @ hackshardgaming and solo. Not trying to diss the pool or anything it could certainly have been a fluke but that is what happened.

My farm is complaining that work isn't being sent fast enough from my wallet.  Sad

Any ideas to help speed things up? The wallet is running on an i7 920 @ 3.5GHz, 16GB RAM, on a 50Mb/s fiber connection. I'm quite sure my system isn't loaded down.

Have removed the dead pools from the OP, if your pool was removed, and you want it listed again, PM me

If you get a message from the user marshmallow regarding his bounty receiving pool dprism.org/dpmc would you please remind that turd he ran off with all the coins (including the first million block).
Thank you. That is all.

Edit: Additionally, he seems to have escaped the first flush and is still on the mining page of the lottocoin website.

We are actually not under a DDOS attack.  My Hosting provider disabled our services and they are being ultra slow and letting me back into the network.

Cryptsy doesn't deserve LOT. We need something better.
Srsly, BTC drop is worrisome. Some economists expecting it to drop to 10$!
With no China to back its value, no one will be interested but speculators

FUD.

Don't you have some Ponzi scam to go spam?

Every bubble pops sooner or later. It's just an opportunity to pickup cheap coin and make a good profit on the ride back up.
