you can try 8192, thread concurrency
I've compared them and my GPU performs better with 10240 for some reason oO

I got two R9 280x;
and since my rack isn't best and I only played around for half a day with settings, I see how one could get more, but for me these are the stats:
GPU 0: 710-720Kh/s @ 68C GPU 1: 700-710Kh/s @ 78C
(cooling is not best atm)
settings are: - thread concurrency 8191 (not 8192 - strangely - it works way better with one down - when it's 8192 neither card can go above 670Kh/s) - gpu core @ 1050 - memclock @ 1500
Hope it helps to anyone interested in 280x.

shocking how much better the R9 280x is compared to the R9 270x. I'm only getting about 300 khash with mine right now. Might be because I'm using an old motherboard right now but I dunno. I even tried the 8191 setting. after some tweaking I got it to like 350ish. still a little lower then I thought. but I can't run it any harder on this motherboard.

The R9 270x is not as good as the R9 280x, but i get up to 460 Kh/s. I do not set any Thread concurrency, just start cgminer and the manually rise intensity, i can work without recognizing that its mining until Intensity 14 (300KH/s) 460 KH/s @ Intensity 18 is best while 19 and 20 getting slighly lower results.
