Probably the performance boost is only for newer CPUs. I've been running the core2 build of this miner for about 4 hours on my Q9650. Not a single share accepted and the hashrate is lower than the default miner has.

I wish I had sold all of my MMC two weeks ago and bought a double amount of them now. But you never know.

I was just reading through another thread about the pool at 1GH.com, and it sounds like the pool owner is actually bragging about having over 50% of the network?

Pool-locked (without creative host redirection), closed source miner + over 50% of the network.  What the fuck?  No wonder the value of this coin has taken a nosedive over the past week or so.

Why should anyone trust this guy?

"At the moment I believe that there is no point running yam M7j on non-AES-NI configs - I expect it may be slower even than original miner, because of non-AES-NI codepath did not get enough attention from me. Probably for next versions."

Maybe botnet friendly, except for huge memory use and the fact that yvg1900 will smoke you out and sue you if you use his builds on a botnet without permissions ;l)

Looks like memorycoin is again botnet friendly really hard to get mmc this last 4h

Edit:

Yes, that's right! I am so glad they optimized the CPU miner for MMC, now almost puts the GPU miner to shame.
Granted I am using 54 servers, but I find it quite profitable. About 30-40HPM per server.

Here are my miner stats:

http://mmcpool.com/en/user?wallet=MCxdXycgZKWhzogspYduGi1CNNbknhZm34

Calculator here:

http://agran.net/memorycoin2_calc.html

Cheers! I hope to see more CPU miners join the game. This is truly unique coin and not a clone.

Does having more computer memory help to mine this coin faster? is this why this is called memorycoin?

Do AES-NI really increases performance? I have read that these additional instructions are only useful for AES algorithms, but even the bitcoin algorithm is a different one (SHA-256), and, of course, the scrypt bases coins or other cpu-only coins such as quark use another different algorithms, but no one at all is using AES.

So, the question is whether the increase in performance is due to the fact of having AES-NI or maybe it is because of using much more ram (if available) optimizing this way the calculations?

It really does - this coin pow is designed to use those instructions.

Yes, 1GB is a minimum memory requirement. The current best CPU miner benefits a lot from additional memory - 1GB per core is optimal.

I have a big problem at the moment with my wallet Sad

A fatal error occured. MemoryCoin can no longer continue safely and will quit.

EXCEPTION: St13runtime_error
CWalletDB::ListAccountCreditDebit() : cannot create DB cursor
c:\memorycoin\memorycoin-qt.exe in Runaway exception

If I copy the wallet.dat away and delete all its ok to get a new empty wallet. After copy it back again the same message occurs. Is there a way how I can repair my wallet?   Hopefully there is something.

I have also tried the memorycoin-qt.exe -salvagewallet option but then I receive a message corrupt wallet and I have a empty wallet.dat after restart of the GUI application Sad

Thanks

Wink I could solve it now with an old wallet backup I have saved a few days ago. I was in panic that I have it not any more

It's GPU miner limited...but the new CPU miner blasts the GPUs out the water.
