So is POS active currently? Or will that be patched in a later version?

PoS is still inactive. First of all we needed to sort out basic connectivity issues. In order for PoS to work correctly; there needs to be good propagation between peers/clients. We can currently see connectivity has improved but still we need to set up a few more nodes around the world before we could turn PoS on. + we need to optimise the PoS code.

The permanent node at 193.68.21.19 has been updated to v1.0.3.0.

The pool wallet at http://dmdpool.digsys.bg has been updated as well.

But I still see "errors" : "WARNING: Checkpoint is too old. Wait for block chain to download, or notify developers."

Should I re-download the chain?

EDIT: interestingly enough, on another v1.0.2.0 wallet, I don't see this message.

The coin had a somewhat bright future , if i can see that without being ironic =))) , but it failed miserably.
August 0.005  March 0.0005 , indeed , bright future.
