Personally I don't own much, so it's not a real loss if Bitcoin goes to zero. Peace of mind is more important than maximum profit imho. Peace of mind is knowing my savings are protected from bail-ins, remote asset forfeiture, and are 100% portable internationally.

It's the coolest thing I've come across since the Internet. But Bitcoin still carries technological risks. It might fail due to implementation problems (bugs, unnoticed security risks,...). Also, there is no guarantee of worldwide adoption. ya.ya.yo!

Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

The price has been stagnant recently. But I'll still hold. Too many new applications in BTC world. It's tempting to buy even more.

Forgive my petulance and oft-times, I fear, ill-founded criticisms, and forgive me that I have, by this time, made your eyes and head ache with my long letter. But I cannot forgo hastily the pleasure and pride of thus conversing with you.

Holding as long as possible, there is a huge chance for the price to go up.

And when do you think is that? Everyone has been holding for about a year now.

Everyone has been holding for about a year now.
Apart from the likes of Jorge S who never has and never will, the really early adopters who cashed out at the previous ATHs, the day tarders doing their hokey kokey thing, the weak hands who sold when their stop losses were hit etc, etc. TL;DR HODL!

What you're effectively saying, although you may not realise it, is that 1 BTC is affordable for a lot of people now and if they buy now there's a chance they'll become millionaires in the future... there's a small chance that may happen but it's not what should be attracting people in to bitcoin... the technology & concept should be..
It's worrying when the only discussion people are having around bitcoin is its price and how filthy rich it's going to make everyone...
1 million usd/btc won't make me filthy rich. I aim for 100000000 at last

mainstream adoption and a tremendously rising price are tied to each other. if the aim of the tech & concept is stable/safe widespread use, we are talking several hundred million users. if hundreds of millions are using max. 21 mio btc, price has adjust = ccmf/2damoon. btw this is the speculation subforum
