All major pools listed on mooncoin.info are down Sure makes cheap Mooncoins at Cryptsy. I shut my pool down as the mooncoind randomly starts chewing up all my bandwidth as well as CPU... the other pools probably got annoyed with that too. I can confirm that mooncoind is a POS, even running the latest version. I have been having throughput issues all week. I've wasted hours with my router, new Ethernet cables, router firmwares, service calls with Time Warner, etc. I killed mooncoind and all my problems went away. I'm promptly dumping this crapcoin.

This is running mooncoin on a personal computer (i7 with 12gb of RAM), not on a pool server. I'm running about 20 coin daemons (litecoin, all merge mine coins, dogecoin, digitalcoin, megacoin, etc etc) and the only one causing any problems is mooncoin.

So basically what you want to say is that the over 400mh/s currently on the network mining MOON are all people smarter than you as they don't seem to have issues with MOON. Your claim about running a pool obviously is also based on air, Cryptohashery is not even online, GoDaddy reports a parked domain. If you don't like a coin or don't want a coin then just move on, go away, but don't use this forum to try and spread lies about a coin that works fine.

I'm running about 20 coin daemons (litecoin, all merge mine coins, dogecoin, digitalcoin, megacoin, etc etc) and the only one causing any problems is mooncoin. I had it running as a P2Pool-server on the smallest Pentium available at the moment (G3220) with 4 GB RAM, running besides Vertcoin-P2Pool and Doge-P2Pool on a personal network. And guess what: NO problems whatsoever. The same unproblematic behaviour now on a P2Pool-node at a provider. So I guess it was a misconfiguration, a bad network-connection, too narrow bandwidth to handle many client-requests at the same time, too much latency in the line to your server (bad router-config or something like that), or a mixture of all the reasons. Or just simply FUD against MOON, as said by Spekske.

If you were paying attention, I quoted crackfoo and was confirming his findings that mooncoin has issues. So if you could start needlessly flaming both of us, that would make more sense. I'm not the only whose is apparently so dumb that when I type mooncoind -daemon the process go horribly awry on it's own.

I'm not the only whose is apparently so dumb that when I type mooncoind -daemon the process go horribly awry on it's own. Do you really think, anybody would like to help you with those problems, if you smash the door and shout out loud "Mooncoin is shit" (well, sort of) - in the Mooncoin-forum? Even if if there are problems like you describe, please explain, what is the sense of behaving like that? Secondly: if you really like to get help instead of only accosting here, please describe, what are the problems in detail. Phrases like "going awry" or "going crazy" don't help anybody technically minded to get a clue what really could have gone wrong. And lastly: why don't you run your pool-server anymore? You could have dropped MOON only, if all the other coins on your pool were running flawlessly after that. So what is the real purpose of dissing MOON like that? Why didn't you come earlier, to discuss the problems in a friendly manner and possibly get help?

Why didn't you come earlier, to discuss the problems in a friendly manner and possibly get help? crackfoo reported that mooncoin was using up excessive amounts of bandwidth and CPU. I don't see the dev active enough to investigate the issue. I confirmed that crackfoo isn't the only person having this issue, that was the sole purpose of the post. I don't care if it gets fixed because the dev doesn't care. Secondly: it uses up needless amounts of bandwidth. Pretty simple. Lastly: I stopped running pools solely because I didn't have the time to support them. It had nothing to do with mooncoin.

I don't care if it gets fixed because the dev doesn't care.
Did you write him a message? What kind of argumentation is that anyway? Secondly: it uses up needless amounts of bandwidth. Pretty simple.
So you come here, drop a meaningless opinion and refuse to work together to find a solution (see above)? There are many pools out there, that obviously don't have problems like yours. Strange, eh? Lastly: I stopped running pools solely because I didn't have the time to support them. It had nothing to do with mooncoin.
Ah, there you go.
