I'm exploring a variety of crypto-wallets for Mac OS X and have been collecting a little bit of Mooncoin in my Cryptsy address from faucets.
I tried running the official current Mac OS X client, Mooncoin-Qt-1.862.1-Mac.zip and it indicates "No Block Source Available" and makes "0 Active Connections to the Mooncoin network".
I'm happy to wait, as I'm only testing, but better no Mac wallet than a non-functioning one - I have 20 other crypto-wallets functioning on my Mac.
I have tried adding a mooncoin.conf file with the appropriate addnode IPs to no avail.
Thanks.

I don't know where you got current nodes to use in your mooncoin.conf file, but there is a chance those are outdated, I know one node that is most certainly up-to-date, you can use addnode=87.209.206.80

check out my new modification to the source code : http://www.mediafire.com/view/istkik3n9pw113b/main.cppjust search for the word chinatuakong and you can see my modification. Modification : random reward change to static rewards reduce by half (example : random 100k moon became static 25k) Hope my changes can make it into new mooncoin client. If deaconboogie is missing, somebody please fork this project my email :tan.sematan@gmail.com

There's just a lot of mooncoin out there. You want some, you get some, but no one guarantees a certain price level. Only for the brave...

getinfo of today: { "blocks" : 113009, "currentblocksize" : 0, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 3.56325369, "errors" : "", "generate" : false, "genproclimit" : -1, "hashespersec" : 0, "networkhashps" : 203024636, "pooledtx" : 0, "testnet" : false } Regarding the nodes, you could maybe add the P2Pool-servers that can be found with the Mooncoin-P2Pool-scanner (without the port numbers). Which would look like this in the mooncoin.conf: addnode=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx Edit: Don't use http://144.76.107.241:9664/static/ as addnode though, as it seems to be still on the old blockchain from before the KGW-fix.

As said in my previous posting (see above), too, you could add the IPs from the public P2Pool-nodes, which can be found by the Mooncoin-P2Pool-Scanner (just omit the port numbers). Edit: Don't use http://144.76.107.241:9664/static/ as addnode though, as it seems to be still on the old blockchain from before the KGW-fix.

This isn't a general issue, is it? No problems finding nodes here...

I had it once, that my wallet did not find a peer, some days ago. But after adding a P2Pool-node to a newly created mooncoin.conf (resulting in a simple one-liner) and restarting the wallet, the problem was immediately gone. The wallet then found 8 peers almost instantly.

This is the only change, except for time. Once it syncs completely and I execute a transfer or two I'll be mooning!
