Particle Error: Transaction too large.
Send coins: Error: Transaction creation failed!

Trying to send 3000 to friend. Same error msg. Tried to split it in 3 x 1000 first two success but on second I paid fee for transaction 0.0018 PRT and can`t finish third transaction of 1000.
Can anybody help me with this issue?

Particle version v0.8.7.3-g09e437b-beta

Thanks in advance.

Anybody?
What were you incoming amounts like?  1-10 PRT at a time kind of thing?  If so then you have the common large transaction error that affect many coins particularily if you mine at a p2pool that routinely sends you small amounts (see a couple pages back for more detailed info).  Short story you will likely need to run the --salvagewallet command to recover the stuck sent transaction and try again with a smaller amount.  When the wallet indicates that a transaction fee is needed, I use that as a warning and find that it is best to cancel and try a smaller amount rather than attempt to send and have it get stuck.

I am started to mine at the beginning on forkpool.com where amounts received goes up to 1-20 PRT.
Few weeks ago I switched on prt.coinine.pl and few times received 1000 with manual cash out and yesterday I made auto payment threshold on 9000 which is received normally. With that username I am mining with two friends and splitting received PRT-s on three parts. Successfully made one transaction of 3000 PRT to one friend and two of 1000 PRT to other. After that other 1000 I can`t transfer .

When I have had that problem it was when I was using P2Pool to mine.
All I did was send the coins in ever decreasing amounts to a newly created wallet until it was all gone.
And then? did you have same problem? At the end you have small amounts which is causing this if I understood well.

When it was all transferred ( and no new payments were coming in ) I deleted that wallet.dat, restarted the qt and started to use a fresh
wallet.dat.

When using P2Pools I make transfers to a new wallet at 100 coins.  It's tedious but simple to do.

So you say to tansfer 29000 PRT (this is how much I have) 100 by 100 to new wallet created on other client computer and then delete wallet.dat start qt and and transfer 29000PRT at once to a new wallet?

Transfer as much as you can at each iteration so if you can only do 10000 first time, 2000 second time, 1000 third time etc etc...  (amounts will be different).
When you create the new wallet and you have lets say 100 coins accumulated, you transfer that to another address.  Then, when the new wallet it fills to 100 coins again, you transfer  etc...

As a newbie to crypto currencies at all and mining also , I am not 100% sure that I understood what did you said. I successfully transferred 500 PRT but I can`t do it again. I am asked to pay fee for transaction.
Is there any lowest limit (amounts going only down)? In this way I will have 0.00000x after 50-100 iterations and 29000 PRT left.
Is there any easiest way to fix this? Some kind of "reset" or something simmilar?

Thanks in advance.

Keep attempting to transfer an ever decreasing amount until you succesfully make a transfer and pay the fees when asked.
That is normal.  If you cannot send the amount that you typed in, just lower the amount until you can send successfully.

So now you have the wallet you mined to and a newly created wallet (like a savings account) that you transferred coins from your mining wallet.

You can now or copy  the mining wallet to somewhere safe.

You now create a NEW mining wallet.  But I advise you as a newbie to not use P2Pool.  I used https://www2.coinmine.pl/prt/index.php.  I am very pleased with this pool
because you can set your automatic withdrawl amount to saw blocks of 500 PRT ( or another amount ).

This is the situation with ALL coins "I" have mined using with P2Pool.  And in my experience this situation is not limited to Particle alone.

Will I have the same problem if I transfer amounts of 100 PRT or smaller to newly created wallet? Last time successfully transferred 500 PRT, but second time same error. Transaction too big

If I withdraw additional 10K from  https://www2.coinmine.pl/prt/index.php will this limit be increased? Is there any way that limit goes UP?

I don`t know what I did, but four times try to sent 500 PRT to address in new wallet, paid fee and after that paid 3000 PRT to friend without any problem.
Should I continue to mine with old address on https://www2.coinmine.pl/prt/index.php

Thank you all for your support.

That's a great idea.  So now we have "accelerator" / "collider"

Which ever one is not used could be used for another feature

The Large Transaction Error is a thorn in the side of any crypto that uses p2pools that pay out many small amounts when every block is found (ie 0.87654674 PRT every 5 minutes).  Then when you go to send 1000 PRT that means your transaction is made up from over 1000 incoming transactions and is a LARGE TRANSACTION (key point is the large transaction does not have anything to do with the actual amount sending...its how many transaction it is made up from).  I believe 64 is the magic number for max transaction before this issue can arise.

It is such a common and disruptive event the first time it happens to people that I am always surprised it isn't in a giant sticky readme somewhere in the ALT section.  Everyday in almost every coin I follow people are having this issue.

When this happens you run the wallet from a command prompt with the salvagewallet command (ie in windows C:> particle-qt.exe -salvagewallet).  It takes a while but it recovers all the stuck sent transactions.

OK so I fixed my wallet but sending 100PRT/QRK/DOGE at a time sucks...what can I do??
>>>>  Send the maximum amount you can to another PRT wallet on another of your computers (henceforce called wallet2).  So if wallet1 max send is 100 at a time, once you are done wallet2 should be able to send 6400 at a time.  Not enough?  OK then send max from wallet2 to wallet3, now max should be 409600.  And so on.

And yes sending manually is a pain so use a script like the following, saved as autosend.bat:
Code:
@echo off

:top

particled.exe sendtoaddress <address> 50

timeout /t 30

goto top
That sends 50 PRT to the address you put in every 30 seconds.  Note that your wallet must be unlocked for this to work.

Hope this helps someone.  If it did you know what to do PbDDJ2nhiCLxEi35cyAMkbsZvdbkaTyn1S   Grin
