TIP - Draw No BetI was asked about it privately and I thought to share it here with you.
In a Match Odds bet with 3 outcomes, Home Team, Away Team and Draw, if you want to bet on one of the teams, but get your money back in case of a draw, look for a bet called Draw No Bet.
If there is no such bet, you can emulate it by placing two bets, one on the team and one on the draw. The trick is how to calculate the bet stakes.
Here is an example from a recent Rugby Union match with decimal odds :
Rebels @ 3.35
Waratahs @ 1.44
Draw @ 25
So lets say you want to bet 1 BTC on Rebels and get your money back in case of a draw. You have to place 2 bets, one on Rebels and one on the Draw.
Draw Bet Stake = Your 1BTC Bet Stake / Draw Odds = 1 / 25 = 0.04 BTC.
Rebels Bet Stake = Your 1BTC Bet Stake - Draw Stake = 1 - 0.04 = 0.96 BTC.
So you should bet 0.96 BTC on Rebels and 0.04 on the Draw.
If Rebels wins you win 2.256 BTC and lose 0.04 BTC = +2.216 BTC
If Waratahs wins you lose 1 BTC
If Draw you win 0.96 BTC and lose 0.96 BTC = PUSH
Since you are risking 1 BTC to net win 2.216 BTC, Rebels Draw No Bet odds is essentially 3.216
