When have you ever seen a book offer only one side of an event?
Right now they are offering Cincinnati -200, but no line available for East Carolina.
It's a joke. Compared to their shady tactics of confirming bets when it is advantageous to them and price gouging, offering one side of an event only may be the most egregious of the bunch.
I am aiming to take this place down. I am building a case against the owner for operating an illegal gambling operation and funneling money through a United States organization. Canbet used to and perhaps still does (if they still exist) put up a dollar amount for each bet. The dollar amount was how much they would take on that bet. With each bet they received they'd deduct that dollar amount. When there was nothing left that side of the bet would take no more action. So this is not unprecedented. "Egregious" is when a book quotes a phony line like Bodog - or when a book posts a line and then changes it when one attempts to bet it, but they would've accepted the action on the other side. DirectBet is doing something similar to Canbet I believe. He takes the action he wants on a side and takes it down till he's balanced. So what? It's a bit annoying, but no more annoying than if he left it up but moved the odds to the point that no one sane would bet it anyway. Bet it somewhere else. |

Your law enforcement kick is counter productive. It'll hurt all of us, bettors and books. It's shortsighted and harmful to bitcoin as well.

That's stupid. If you don't like it, bet somewhere else. You will not get anywhere even if you did pay an attorney to build a case for you...but, hey, this is the internet. Settlements of some Soccer Asian Handicap bets from the 3pm UTC games were delayed due to an upgrade that we've performed at that time. Such occurrences are rare. Normally you should expect your bets to settle automatically within minutes of the event completion and in many cases during the actual games.
