Monero passed darkcoin in one hour, as expected.
Directbet should take into consideration thinks like market cap and advantages of the coin, not only many Monero shill accounts voting for it. Darkcoin has higher market cap, is traded at biggest BTC exchange bitfinex (bitfinex.com -> only BTC, LTC and Darkcoin .... no monero or other scamcoins). Can you show me the emission curve of DRK? Ah, pool of bagholders prefer to not talk about it.

Only Monero should be used as it is the only cryptocurrency that hide the amount of coin on address.

Monero is everything but a scamcoin. In fact it should be in the dictionnary as antagonist to scamcoin.

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's. This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

Does Monero even have an api that would allow existing gambling sites the ability to implement it?

Of course, how else do you think pools and exchanges use it...

Of course, how else do you think pools and exchanges use it... It was rhetorical being that it's a different api than the native btc api that every gambling site uses. Keyword being existing.

Looking at the amount of votes for both coins (DRK & XMR), why not add both? It seems like they both have a big community.

You're trying to dismiss a coin for being so innovative it has a different code base? If a gambling site is not able to deal with a slightly different API than that of bitcoin, I would laugh at them.

+1 Edit: ... and consider adding crypto-currency prices as something to bet on.

+1 Edit: ... and consider adding crypto-currency prices as something to bet on. Binary bets could work but it would have to be in large markets, pretty much BTC and LTC. Anything with lower volume would be to easy too manipulate when the time period for win/loss comes around.
