In financial stuff, it's often not about being first, but doing it right the first time. I think we've got a while to wait on the ETM, but that's fine. Happy Counterparty is playing the long game. If you're worried about the price or project, sell now, cause it's going to go lower before it goes up.
I see now you are giving financial advice. You seem so certain about these things, perhaps you have information which I and others do not have. I guess like last time with that Ethereum announcement Pump and Dump that the Counterparty team orchestrated before going off to start Symbiont.io, some people had access to privileged information while others didn't. That's why btw it is good to do everything in an open, and transparent process especially when there is money involved. It's natural for you to think this way because it's how you operate, but in this case none of your ideas are rational and they aren't based in reality. Additionally, you helped run Mastercoin into the ground and were a Paycoin fan. Certainly I won't be looking for you to make accurate calls for me and the projects I follow. You're generally wrong. Some choice Paycoin quotes from you... https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/47976075/ShareX/2015-10/2015-10-28_15-48-41.pnghttps://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/47976075/ShareX/2015-10/2015-10-28_15-49-09.pnghttps://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/47976075/ShareX/2015-10/2015-10-28_15-49-56.pnghttps://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/47976075/ShareX/2015-10/2015-10-28_15-50-27.png

It's really a simple question, 100% now with a huge risk to go to 0 through exploits and instability or 1000%+ later with a system that is secure enough for worldwide trillion dollar markets. I'll wait.

Therefore please consider that only very recently, Ethereum has already had some grievous security exploits and glitches.
So you are saying that XCP never had these when they launched? Because if you recall correctly they did. All software has security exploits. Maybe there are even security exploits in the XCP software as I type this that are not publicly known. Like I said it is a red herring.

so explain why it didn't?
this ought to be a very nice mental exercise for you.
still waiting for you to do this mental exercise. I know it's challenging but being able to flip positions and understand adversarial positions improves the flexibility of one's mind, keeps the brain stems growing, and also makes one have more understanding. Instead of just shit bagging on Ethereum...

Of course those screenshots are you, there are many witnesses. And being objective is not trying to badmouth Ethereum. It's just they already started from scratch once resulting in a huge deal of extra work. The new platform needs to be reliable to prevent compatilbility issues. Once it's stable it will be implemented. That's all.

I'm considering to buy some XRP. On my research I read that Counterparty will be used by a broker and financial companies. Is this true and if so, why is the price so low then?

Since it is in your counterwallet, most likely it is an asset issued on counterparty. You can use blockscan to confirm it.

Symbiont has repeatedly said that XCP is a major part of their toolkit, and they will use it when applicable. But I would also like to know more about this gateway.

Future CP wallets should have a SPAM folder. For now, at least be happy all spam (all asset transfers) comes with a cent or so worth of bitcoin dust. So at least you earn a little for the spam you receive.

Symbiont has repeatedly said that XCP is a major part of their toolkit, and they will use it when applicable. But I would also like to know more about this gateway.
The article describes it pretty well: "The gateway allows users to send Counterparty assets through the Ripple network, and to transfer those assets back into the Counterparty network. Further, both on the Ripple and Counterparty networks, assets may be stored in offline wallets, to ensure maximum security." The code does indeed exist (it wasn't an April fools day thing, despite the date on the article .
