Source code of mt. Gox blank home page hints at possible acquistion

No connection to Gox, I hope? no Guys, ffs, stop posting irrelevant info here. It's an XCP thread not an armchair philosophy one. Go back and delete all the post where you don't speak about XCP This is a mess for someone who wants to learn about the protocol !!!

Also, what's with all the +1 +2 empty comments!? I'm starting to use the ignore button as I guess these are just bots and those with nothing to offer.

They'er not bots they are just trying to express that they concur with what that person is saying. I do see your point though. They clutter up the forum.

Someone might want to add this link to the ANN top page http://poloniex.freshdesk.com/support/homeso that people who are having problems with Poloniex can open a support ticket without 'cluttering' your thread.

Can someone share a counterparty DB snapshot (or make a torrent or something, like the bitcoin devs do now) so I don't have to sync from scratch? It's only for testing, so I'm not worried about fake tx.

Guys,
Im talking to you as an average Joe.
I like the idea of this project, but I dont see where the road goes right now.
I could manage to burn a btc in the burning phase and I am excited of how this will evolve and Im planning to hodl so far, but I couldnt even sell XCP if I wanted. For me there are too many obstacles in the way that would enable me to buy, sell, trade, etc.
So this arises some questions to me: - Will there be a user friendly Wallet some day, everyone is capable of using? I think thats a major reason for moste people not getting onto the XCP-train right now. I see in blockscan "only" about 2400 different addresses with XCP onto it. This is way too less in my opinion to get successful. - What is the roadmap of the dev team? Is there any plans to get a wider spread of counterparty? Even IF we do marketing like hell, people couldnt use it because its not user friendly right now.
I dont want bitchin around. I deeply honor what the dev-team and community has reached so far. Im just trying to be a little bit constructive.
Cheers!

You should do a bit more research. CounterWallet is coming out in 2-3 weeks. (Web wallet/exchange/GUI/etc.)

RucksackSepp, you're right that this thread is becoming a bit too large and unwieldy. We are working to update Counterparty website ( https://counterparty.co/ ) with the most current info in the next week or so, and also setting up a blog to make it easy for everyone to keep up with the developments. Please note that URL for the future. I'd also like to remind to everyone, about the Counterparty forums at https://forums.counterparty.co and strongly encourage you all to create an account and take the discussion there as much as possible. This will help keep all the info more organized and easy to find, among many other benefits such as helping the search rankings of the Counterparty domain.

you could also ask the question vice versa. point is that xcp has proven that they can do it. all others still have to. anyway the only projects you really can compare are msc and xcp, because the other projects migrated from bitcoins protocol, and there will be at least place for these two projects on top of bitcoins protocol.
