Hi guys, to deal with the increased support load, we've established a new email address - -support@counterparty.co Please use this instead of dev@counterparty.co ..we've enlisted help from Sean (Janitor, on the forums), who will be assisting us to help take support cases, and improve the FAQs/docs from that.

QA person neededWe're also looking for an individual to help with QA. The main responsibility is testing new releases (Counterwallet, counterpartyd, counterpartyd_build) before release, certifying that they pass/work for the supported OSes/browsers, and serving to track and file bug reports for any regressions. 1+ year similar, previous dev and/or QA experience of this nature is required. Pay will be a mix of BTC and XCP. This is most likely part time position at first, but can easily go to a full time position in the next month or two. If you have experience writing selenium test suites, this will be a full time position immediately. Please email dev@counterparty.co if interested, with your resume and some background on why you'd be good with this.

Hi, I bought some XCP on BTER about a few hours ago. 81.4xxx XCP worth 0.34 BTCto be precise. I transferred them to the Counterwallet about 7 hours ago from BTER and they still haven't arrived there yet. I used one of the addresses provided in the wallet - 1QHVjcE7o5zfK9MYcaM9oHUTjAQmYQjy56. Normally, how long do they take to arrive in the counterwallet Should I be worried Are my XCP lost It shows 'Array' in the transaction ID in BTER

I withdrew 900 XCP today and after it didn't show up on the blockchain after 5 minutes I knew something was wrong. I went to the deposit/withdrawal page and XCP is not even listed. So you are not the only one. I initiated a support ticket 7 hours ago and have not heard back. I am thinking either problems with counterpartyd on their end or worse a hack and they froze XCP withdrawals and are sorting things out before they announce anything. I hate centralized exchanges.

If I had to take a guess, I would think this has something to do with the latest updates/patches to counterpartD which addresses the CFD issue. I went to their QQ support and they replied this : "Technical personnel reply to me:our web site XCP wallets need to upgrade , technical personnel has been the upgrade, will finish the upgrade before Beijing time late 19 points." At 7 o 'clock in the evening Beijing time. So let's wait for 6 more hours

It has been requested that I should clarify my post. As I initial disclosed 'cfd camper' is a bot for exploiting a bug which I had found in the CFD implementation. The bug and the associated attack are limited entirely to 'CFD' type bets, no other protocol functionality is, or ever was at risk. I have written a technical analysis of the bug and the associated attack, which can be found here: https://xcpfeeds.info/cfd_attack/

Hi guys, the build system has been modified to work with Ubuntu 12.04 properly again, as well as Windows. Just update counterpartyd_build to the newest version via get. Updated instructions are at: http://counterpartyd-build.readthedocs.org/en/latest/BuildingFromSource.html(for Linux, you'll just need to update from git and rerun). Please report any technical issues with it to dev@counterparty.co, or our Skype chat channels.

And indeed as of now blockscan is showing the address balance is zero.

Which order? What happens when you try to cancel it? Thats the point, there was no way to cancel it since there was a match with the one who's selling. Only now it has expired and I can now cancel it. I have tested a small amount order at a lower price to see if I can skip the highest buy order but with no luck, the highest buy order is preventing everyone to sell since there's a match and then you can't cancel your order until it expires, but that takes more than 20 confirmations.. is that normal ?

Yes, that's normal. Users with orders to buy something with BTC have 20 blocks to make the 'BTC payment' to finalize all order matches. If he doesn't make that payment as he's supposed to, he pays a fee penalty (sort of).

Newb question and a couple little bugs with counterwallet.. Signed up a day or 2 ago and transfered in just a little amount of BTC to test things out. Today when I logged in, I had magically received a little bit more BTC. Where did that come from?
I clicked on History, and it doesn't show my initial deposit, nor does it show what magically showed up. Selecting BTC from the drop down, moving the mouse to the left, the info popup goes to the most recent balance (to the right), moving it to the right, it goes to the original one, and the date says January. This is with Chrome,

... the highest buy order is preventing everyone to sell since there's a match ...
Does this affect all subsequent orders or only those two parties?

Hi The windows docs still has python version 3.2 as the minimum requirement but Flask requires at 3.3 and above. Cheers Link? (Edit)Yes, the first update to reflect the change was merged into the master branch 2 days ago. The second and complete update went in more than 1 day ago, maybe around the time you wrote the post. http://counterpartyd-build.readthedocs.org/en/latest/BuildingFromSource.html#on-windows
