What if the core devs shorten the OP_RETURN again?
Eligius has set the OP_RETURN limit to 80. Not sure about the other mines. Besides, I remember that the devs said that even with 40 bytes OP_RETURN (possible for a simple Counterparty asset send, for instance) the transaction takes too much time to be confirmed. I guess that consensus takes time to achieve. Medici could help them change their mind. |

What if the core devs collaborate with Counterparty team to develop the sidechain? Bitcoin collaborate with Counterparty would be a win-win decision. |

Are you guys building a nasdaq like stock exchange? where everyone would trade stocks using counterparty coin?
how would the traditional brick-n-mortal companies get listed on your exchange? what will be the procedures?
What do you foresee the future of Medici? What's Medici role in this?

Unfortunately, the implementation details aren't something I can really talk about right now. Well understood just 2 general questions then Will I buy stocks on counterparty with your coin? Is it a good time to invest in XCP now aka buy more XCP  Haha, I can't answer those questions either! But you can't answer with a " " or you can't answer with a "  "?  XCP started in Jan. 2014, I think it is still in early stage. Invest early is better than late. |

Not true. The Counterparty software currently encodes extra data as multisig transactions which are indeed mined, that's why OP_RETURN is not used now. |

It's not clear how this would help drive demand for XCP. the thing is that they do not only want to write a security on counterparty (which I assumed) but use the protocol in a wider way and built a whole front end application. let us see how and in what way they will use xcp. Following the early posts of the core developers, they said that they only get monetarily rewarded by their protocol building in the case that the native currency is gaining traction. all that being said it is a great announcement for counterparty - do not forget this is little more than 9 months old. |

Whenever a security goes on a short-term upswing more sellers enter the market to book profits. Maybe some have been holding for months and now want to cash in some sweet gains. I would be happy to hold my XCP for a long time as really, the Overstock announcement is just the beginning of a burgeoning ecosystem of financial tools/services built on the platform. |

OVRSTCK/BTC needs btcPay which replies on the buyer's decision to finished the transaction 2. the CEO may have also invested in XCP already, he is a pioneer in BTC, he will be the same in BTC2.0. 3. OVRSTCK/XCP is more feasible trading pair. This will drive the price/value in XCP |
