BTER   XCP/NXT   $ 44,901   $ 7.36   36.61 %

Crazy buyer in Bter!

I wondered how coinmarketcap shows so large daily gain for XCP.

More info regarding off-chain -> on-chain part would be welcome. Ripple works good enough without a blockchain, so the solution looks feasible. How often is it planned to unload the data to XCP? Will Overstock be the only party controlling the servers? What TPS rate is planned in the beginning? A lot of questions, more tech info regarding the architecture would help a lot.

Sounds pretty farty and centralized; like something from the past.

Notable projects 2019: Semux, Dero, Wagerr, BEAM

All of what you quoted was hearsay & hypothetical discussion, not from a source familiar with matters.

Sometimes Reddit is wonderful. Vitalik Buterin and other heavyweights discuss Counterparty.

Ok. "[00:31:54] Jonathan Briasco: Right, definitely no fork. I'm in direct contact with Robby, Adam, and Evan; I can say that qualitatively" made me think that was a convo of people who know what they talking about.

If the silly patch has any right to be in a distribution,  maybe its time to make "apt-get install counterparty" works

I take this as a signal that installing directly from bitcoin.org and verifying SHA sums and gitian signatures needs to be encouraged more. Luke-Jr did us a favor for making this kind of visible and straightforward modification and in doing so, highlighting that package maintainers have a responsibility to be upfront about any modifications they make to the software.

Wow, good work.  I know that strong Chinese engagement has been a major factor in making BitSharesX a success so far.  Something like 2/3rds of BTSX trading volume is in the BTSX/CNY pair.

It seems to me unlikely that the government would go straight from no legal precedent to handing out fines. Usually there would be some sort of cease and desist warning first. To my knowledge there's no previous ruling declaring cryptocurrency platforms to be capable of issuing securities, registered or otherwise.
