I know this is all crap, but... If I'm in Serbia then for him to sue me (if I open an exchange) he would need to sue me in my country (since I don't care about not being able to go to USA ever), right?
And he won all of those cases against him due to the fact that he was sued in USA and because of the first amendment, right?
That would basically mean that if he sues me in my country I can sue him in MY country, right?

Look, all this Kanye, Coinye, COYE crap needs to be dropped. Just totally rebrand it, rename it and get a new logo. Get rid of all associations with Kanye, no matter how vague.

I think the best idea so far is to rename it KOI. It even sounds nice phonetically.... KOI Coin. It rolls off the tongue nicely. And it's name is conveniently 3 letters, perfect for listing on an exchange.

Plus that logo someone did up looks badass! A samurai wielding Koi fish?! Yes, please!

Seriously, this is easy to change and fix. Re-skin the wallet and just get on with it.


There is no chance of this getting on an established exchange under the current circumstances, even though the C&D letters might not even be valid for foreign-based websites, and his lawsuit may be totally baseless and not winnable eventually, the exchanges still want to avoid any and all trouble when it comes to dealing with possibility of disrupting thousands of people's accounts.


Let's get this done, get it listed, and start trading. People will love this coin.

First, Kanye will never drop the lawsuit now that he started. He will pursue no matter how you change the coin as long as the origin was that it was coinye at some point. Second, KOI coin is completely retarded. The price of this coin depends on demand and real demand comes from OUTSIDE the crypto community (like DOGE). Coinye brought lots of attention to the coin and people who know who Kanye is want to buy it (especially with the extra link to south park through the gay fish image). KOI is just stupid, nobody outside will want to buy it and we lose all the media hype we got. In fact, very few people INSIDE the community will want to buy it (I know if it was ever officially changed to this, I am dumping everything and getting out of the coin. It will have no future).

Altcoins are about demand, hype brings demand: coinye has hype, KOI has nothing.

Tell that to Mr I want to be No1 Exchange in World "Crycurex" who can't build a working site let alone an exchange... Who the fuck is going to buy COXE Coin??? PMSL There.!
