Looks like the coin is still alive.  I just cranked started it up and found a connection.   downloading blocks....

if anyone wishes to trade for another coin, could use peertrade for that.

Someone is mining it... I toss a few hashes at it now and then but someone is keeping an open wallet with setgenerate true I think...

Blockchain is healthy and moving along quite well.
Although the main website seems to have expired its registration recently -- so we could use a new website for 2015.

ironic: webpage dead, devs all gone, - cryptorush alive again!  Smiley

https://www.cryptorush.in/

If only someone could put it up there again.

 Cool

Before we begin, we should take a hard look at ourselves first.

Yea, it would be nice to have NDL on cryptorush.in
The seed nodes still work, the blockchain is still moving and there are miners.

It would seem maybe His Holy Noodliness did not tend to the domain renewal.

Does anybody have interest in re-creating a website for 2015?

Kind Regards,
-Chicago

My wallet doesn't sync anymore.
Last block 282991 is two weeks old.
So far it was very easy to sync.

Now totally dead.

Before we begin, we should take a hard look at ourselves first.

Hello,

The current block height is #292889

Please try to add the following node which is presently online in addition to the two mentioned above in the previous post.

     addnode=173.58.40.33

Hi Dalydir,

You can fetch the sources from the official repository https://github.com/His-Holy-Noodliness/noodlyappendagecoin
Did you need a Windows, Linux or OSX wallet?

Will the sources work for you or are you looking for the previously released precompiled binaries?

Kind Regards,
-Chicago

Oh, I need the exe, that's for sure.  Was hoping for windows, but I was also asking in general so other people could download the wallet as well.

Hi,
I've rebuilt the windows binaries/installer using gitian. Worked right out of the box.

I don't have a mac available right now, so I haven't been able to rebuild the mac wallet. But here is at least a link to the mac wallet that I built a long time ago:

Fun fact, as of this moment there are 4,343,270,050 NDL which have been created since 2014-01-02 (Genesis).

Reading the first page, this last page, and seeing the original poster gone for a year now, what is the status of the coin? Is it currently on any exchanges?

Well, if you read the first page -- then we know the following.

Premined 3% for promotions, giveaway, bounties, dev and support. One third of the premine will be converted into Bitcoin no later than 31/12/2014 and donated to the Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science, or if they are unable to accept bitcoin to the BitGive foundation, or if they are no longer operating to another charitable organisation, preferably one that supports science teaching.

Tracing the transactions derived from block #1 it looks like much of the premine is still left in several wallet balances. I have not found the 137.98M NDL send to the Richard Dawkins Foundation by way of a Bitcoin transaction.

Kind Regards,

Sad, that, perhaps, even those who started this coin did not see that it would still be limping along even now.  Though now the difficulty is over 1 but no one appears to be mining it regularly at that difficulty.  That difficulty is like 50 MHs per second, which is ridiculous for an individual for a scrypt coin.  Huh, maybe that will be the coin's undoing; some over powered person forcing the difficulty so high that virtually no one else can keep it going on their own and not even they, themselves, mining it regularly at that difficulty. 8(
