Perhaps by working together we can provide all that is necessary to achieve the goal of being listed on an exchange.  Once we get past that hump, much more will fall into place.

I hereby predict (with no supporting evidence, logic, or rationality whatsoever), that Noodlyappendagecoin will have a starting and long term price/exchange rate of no less than approximately 100 satoshi each.  Those of you mining, better get to mining hard!

It could be a turning point now. In my opinion, the coin should have a chance to grow slowly but steadily, decentralized exchanges first do not undermine the intention of further growing on an exchange or several echchanges.

What I am able to throw in personally for this project is experience in journalism, natural sciences, modern philosophy, authorship and also pedagocical skills.
And: Common sense! Smiley

And by the way: Thats why I am in since 2014. Thats the spirit of this coin at least as I have understood it. Since Trump, it even does make more sense! ;-)

But even more important is, that a turning point with different people needs more knowledge and growing trust in their goals, not only in skills.

And therefore I recommend an article on WHALES (yes, of course here deep down is eventually only whales-talking left at the moment, thin and strange peeping sound-noodles crossing even the whole fucking atlantic ocean ... ):

Please read it. It is a brilliant link to more awareness of our position and role in that situation - in some coins we are Krill in this one we are --- hopefully not nipponese whale sushi:

https://medium.com/cryptolinks/the-anatomy-of-a-whale-eb0f76164895

Quote
The Anatomy Of a Whale

A reddit post from galgitron that was removed by mods

The nature of Whales and their feeding cycles. This is ENTIRELY my own thesis, terminology, and beliefs; all based on my years of experience in trading and the various discussions and observations that I’ve had over those years.

Before we begin, we should take a hard look at ourselves first. (...)

So, what kind of the three types of whales, mentioned in the article above is everyone of us, when it comes to money?

To my eyes one of the best sentences in cryptocurrency and also trading in whole is that one, above, right from the beginning of the article:

Before we begin, we should take a hard look at ourselves first.

Nothing to add.
_____________________

I do think: the last few postings above in the NoodlyAppendageThread (as long as no one changes or deletes anything) will give everyone new in the NDL-coin circus a very clear picture of the situation as it is - for years. :-)

So: We do have slightly different intentions. And skills. And dreams. Which is good.

Me - for example - I have thought a lot about airdrops over the last weeks, which I could manage over years - as (not as the explorer suggests) we 5 or 6 persons really do have the half of the complete coin amount of NDL.
And - no I really don't need 75-100 Million Dollars at 350 Satoshis of NDL at a BTC spot of 60.000 $ ... .

So. Lets stay normal and do a great thing with a growing community at a healthy pace. The right pace matters!
Therefore - none of the above suggestions seems really irrational to me, but bringing it together will be a matter of organization and interaction within our different goals in common sense.

I would love to see a growing NDL comunity - yes, and I would like to be rich one day, haha.
But thats not the main point I think.
Its not a pump-and-dump-idea, this one here.
If you also read again (of course after the great article above, which i REALLY recommend, - have I said it before?  Cheesy ) the very first page of this NDL thread, you again get a glimpse, of what this coin could perhaps move in supporting the defense of views and freedom of modern science!
And all this - by humour (please don't forget).

In future my postings will be shorter, I promise. But this time I thought it is important to be more direct and a bit visionary and also in detail at once.

Yes, lets grow up that noodly-nerdy-coin - but: Only the pace will be part of the discussion, I guess. ---

Because now, we are all just growing noodle-whales left in a shrinking pool ... .

Per your suggestion, I took a long and very hard look at myself in a mirror.  I did this for several minutes trying, and straining harder and harder.  Then, suddenly, I realized someone had pooped in my pants.  I won't go into detail about who, but lets just say I stopped looking at myself at that point.

For those looking into exchanges, here is some information you may need for Noodlyappendagecoin:

Abbreviation is "NDL"
"Network Version" is "0x35"
"Private Key Prefix" is "0xb5"
"WIF-start" (what uncompressed private keys begin with) is "7"
"CWIF-start" (what compressed private keys begin with) is "T"
"Minimum Transaction Fee" is "0.01"
The wallet DOES support multi-sig addresses.

Avast!

Impressing!

Excuse me, guys, - this time, it was me, as I have learned a lot - but nevertheless, I am still a mining-greenhorn.

I didn't think it would result in such a massive attack on NDL difficulty, when I tested three different ways of mining today. Sorry: I am still learning. ;-)
But no worry, I'll trigger it down enough or if that is not possible - I'll stop and go on as it has been before - with only my cpu i5 for NDL mining over the next weeks or months - and will put the stronger possibilities to better fetch XVG or something else with difficulty.

Because: Long shall live our network!

But even if I run at lowest pace so far, the networkhashrate jumps from abt 60000 to 160000 within 5 minutes.
In the night I did another short test (also to get a few of the more difficult blocks out of the way).

In a technical view you are right, only when I look at the "network" between the people here, it seems to be better, letting everyone get a real chance to accumulate coins.

Sooner or later there will start a wider competition anyway, i guess there is no chance to avoid that.
But for now? I'll better not screw technical competition up at this point, because I don't see an advantage at this stage, for anyone.

Also I remember, that the open NDL nodes are a kind of charity to the group at the moment, that should not be simply exploited; although dnp himself mined a lot, I guess. ;-)

Let's see. I am still in a testing phase. By the way: Verge wallet takes an hour to load, lol. That is what happens to aged projects.

Yeah, difficulty can be a complex thing.  Good in some ways, not so good in other ways.  What we really need is to become trade-able.  Anyone get any closer?

Seems I cannot solve it via taming it by parameters and all related software issues; its too much like driving a Porsche through a Living street with Idle Speed ... quite cool but ugly. Wink I'll stop these mining experiments concerning NDL here, for a while, because at first I will now have to do my homework again.

But I already do have an idea: It should be solvable by getting more into the hardware issues, turning down voltage in parallel of tuning down clock of the operator; this could be a way to create a good 2018 NDL mining system without exploitations.

Its not an overclocking issue, its a downclocking one, haha.

And now its unfortunately not about software anymore, its once more about *lovely physics*. Cheesy

(Oh my funny noodly god, how much did I try to avoid just THIS ... . Wink )

PS: To whoever he is, thanks for the third node; also an issue I couldn't solve so far, one more from Europe would be good, I know.

I have found this one today, during exploration, where some of the 2013/2014 scrypt coins went to ... (most of them went to hell).

Looks like a homemade russian fork of yobit, lol.

<2> Coin name and ticker
<3> Forum ann thread
<4> Coin Source
<5> Average coin blockchain transfer fee estimate

After our team check your coin,we will contact you with further informations or approval notice.

Thats where I found the link, in the Luckycoin-Thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=568287.msg41528390#msg41528390

Seems quite some other coins do have similar problems of getting listed or traded decentrally. ... Wink

And due to a note in the chat protocol of the site I can see, that Luckycoin is already delisted again ... .

Quote
honglu69:Luckycoin, Betcoin were delisted from Exchange due to inactivity

Hmn. ...
We should consider, that this is really a problem within NDL, too ... a listing does only make sense, if enough Trading Volume follows to that ... .
Otherwise its just useless spendings ... because of being delisted again, not far after that listing.

Also we should be aware of THIS (happened, not only, to Megacoin quite recently):

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2242071.msg43924463#msg43924463

Please, anyone, tell me when the market will be resume on exchanges. I want to trade Megacoin.

Cryptopia paused the market on 20th July and after that no updates. I am really wanting to know about the status. Please let me know.

It is really strange that no one bothers to update the community on whats going on.

For those who wonder, I think cryptopia/mec have been attacked in a similar to what happened to bottlecaps some months ago. Look at the bottlecaps thread some pages back for an explanation.

Someone have deposited lots of mec, sold it, withdrawn btc, rolled back the mec blockchain. This means:

1.Cryptopia have lost a lot of btc.
2.Cryptopia don't have enough mec to cover their customers balances. If you have mec on cryptopia now the coins don't exist.

Hmn. ...
Growing more slowly in a decentralized way is perhaps safer for NDL ... .

They only go after what is worth going after.  Could do some sort of master node setup, though idk how to do the programming for that.  With any coin, if you catch it soon enough, you could roll back the blockchain too.  Prioritize the chain with the trades.  Then again, that's also why I updated the code to include a hard coded checkpoint.

Growing more slowly in a decentralized way is perhaps safer for NDL ... .

I've seen some code that soft codes checkpoints every so often which could also prevent what happened to Megacoin.  I may have to see if I can implement it into the Noodlyappendagecoin code.
