Following scenario :

1.EVERY1 Jumping to mine this crap coin.
2.Difficulty goes to around 150.
3.Every1 busy with switching pools and wasting time.
4.Dump on cryptsy.
5.Devs and bigvern making huge money
6.Stupid miners keep mining in the hope that one dent will become 1000$ someday.
7.Devs in hawaii having an orgy with bigdick ...sorry i mean bigVern.

and you are commenting here because...... I fking missed the train again!

You are missing the point. We are being played like sheep. We invested in hardware and setups and have to put up with greedy devs and exchange owners.
I'm just pointing out that something needs to be done. If this community degrades to hackers, thiefs, and ponzi schemes this will be eventually reflected on bitcoin aswell and what was once a good idea will become just another failed launch.
These crapcoins need to be moderated.

I'm unable to log in myself, have tried password reset and nothing, sent email to support and also PM'd the guy and no contact, he is showing up online but no reponse

Your account is unlocked.  You do not need to reset password for locked account.  Please use your email address to log on and NOT your username.

Thanks,

-tb-

Sample 42.conf
Code:
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=password
rpcallowip=*
rpcport=4242
addnode=198.199.116.77
addnode=162.243.205.200
addnode=192.241.138.198
addnode=192.241.153.49
daemon=1
server=1
listen=1

If you copypasted that config, you just opened your wallet for anyone from the internet to use freely. Congratulations!

I totally forgot to mention that.

The asterisk is a wildcard folks meaning any IP can connect to the RPC port of your client.

Does this mean we need to change it or something?

You can just remove that line from the config file.

The default setting is just localhost.

42.pooljunkie.nl is not a scam.

According to the pool admin:

Server got bombed/overloaded/burned down/whatever. They had to re-install which is now finished but you have to sign up again. Pool is currently up again and stable it seems.

All backups (including coin balances) were saved and will be processed tomorrow.

Where does it say all coin balances will be restored?

You are right, he didn't say that. At least not on this topic. Well maybe on his IRC channel but I am not sure. Edited my original post.

My bad, just I mined with him all last week and he has been trustworthy sofar.

That would be smart if you don't want people to take your moneys.

Code:
rpcallowip=*
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=password

This means anyone from anywhere can connect to your wallet with that username and password and for example transfer funds to their own wallet.

Change it to for example:
Code:
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcuser=batman
rpcpassword=VERY!!secretPass_Word

42 added at

http://hashco.ws

We are a multipool that farms the most profitable coin (which most of the time is 42) but we do give the miner the option to keep the coins or auto trade them into BTC, we personally recommend you keep 42, we like this coin Smiley

Over 1.8 GH of farming power come get some coins!

Ok so I may get my coins back, what if I do not make a new account? How am I to get the coins back, my account doesn't have an address to pay to, I was putting in my address when the pool went down.

Wait, why not today?

and I must say this coin is the most unstable of any coin I have ever mined. Never once have I had so many issues staying connected and receiving my coins.

Is there any real proof that multi-mining is more profitable than just sticking with one of the more valuable coins?

To me, unless you can mine and immediately trade the coins, you are wasting time and hash power.

No idea, I don't work there Smiley Just tried to give the poolowner a little credit since he is accused of being a scammer which I am convinced he is not.

I have been mining 42 on Poolwarz.com and it is running smooth.  I love the option in poolwarz to switch mining coins on the fly without messing with my cgminer config.
