From which version are you upgrading? If older than last version, you need to remove blk*.dat from the cach data directory

BTW, wallets have been updated with irc chat built in and a block crawler. Feedback is welcome. Any bugs found, please open an issue on the github repository

Downloaded the new wallet - very cool features, so easy to find all transactions in 1 place, no searching for a block explorer any more.

Quick update on trying to get my Cache withdrawn from exchanges after the fork: * Poloniex did the right thing and reissued my withdrawal on the correct chain. * Cryptsy I've chased for over a month, they're not returning my ~500 coins (just keep pointing to the transaction on the old chain)
Life lesson, Cryptsy and forks do not mix (seems to be a good excuse for them to steal coins with a plausible reason for not returning them), thankfully the loss is only a couple hundred bucks.
YMMV.
Cheers

cryptsy are a**h***s. I recently flashed my nexus 5 with the new android release, and forgot to backup the e2fa. So...... they wouldn't reset my 2fa until, they asked me to, provide them with my IP address during registration! yeah....... And that wasn't included in the welcome email.... so i was locked out for couple of days until i came across one other welcome email from another site roughly the same week. So I got lucky :-P Sorry to hear about your loss

I haven't run into any trouble yet with win wallet. Except irc client, but that's no biggie.
