Thanks for the great update!

I hope this what I am thinking will happen with this sudden increase in hash power.

That huge hash power that just flowed in might take diff to high levels then leave when diff readjusts leaving the small 1GH/s miners to struggle to solve the hard blocks.

But kind of confused to why it increased so much suddenly as smartcoin isn't on the top of the list at coinwarz nor did the value jump suddenly.

This is pretty strange. Lets see what happens.

Hope that GH stays that high we could see block 35000 faster than anticipated.

it seems that difficulty will rise to 77 as i can see...and according to coinwarz
http://www.coinwarz.com/difficulty-charts/smartcoin-difficulty-chart
its next diff will be less than 2, if the trend keeps going that way...and later on, maybe the next bump will be even higher, and after that even lower...
it seems that switchpools get bigger, and hits us for a short time, but heavier...that's not good, i hope KGW comes in time and works well enough, im fed up of switching polls, because of the fluctuating difficulty...

... and please change the colour of the logo, its nice, but noone spots it at the first look, and that is important...even i find it hardly when searching amongst other coins...it needs to be more contrast, and maybe some black with silver...just a thought...

Client updated and ready for hard fork at block 35000.

We could use a little bit more hash over here.

smc.smartmining.net

We're finding blocks but we've not enough miners. Everybody is welcome to mine with us.

Faucet http://freesmc.tk/ is in maintenance mode

We did the update (currently being tested).

Maintenance break will be  enabled for at least one hour so that more people
learned about the need to update the wallet.

The gravity well isn't going to stop the multipools from coming and it isn't going to prevent the difficulty from jumping.  It's just going to make the diff jump much faster (so they'll leave).  And then the diff will reset much faster.

I'm glad for all of us that the dev is implementing KGW, but it is a treatment, not a cure.  It will definitely help but, unfortunately, multipools are a painful fact of life they we just have to deal with.

Come on block 35,000!

Update your Windows and Mac wallets! They're in the main post!

If you're running a service for SMC, be sure to pull the latest code from github and recompile again.

Make sure your protocol version is 60002!

Thanks.

We need a Wallet update guide to help teach the newbies to update easily without loosing coins.

Can someone create one?

This will help speed up the mandatory update process and make sure that EVERYONE is ready for the big 35k

Open debug console and run getinfo command

Code:
{
    "version" : 1010000,
    "protocolversion" : 60002,

 "protocolversion" should be 60002,

I just transfered 77k from wallet to other wallet.
Is it normal it takes much longer? Waiting for over 30 minutes and still nothing.
Tested 100 smc first and it worked.
