I'm disappointed by the small giveaway... didn't you premine 2% of 15 billion coin ? That's 300 million coin, and you give away 2000 per person ? 9m92Xja31Fa9wMooFrVHrUmY79sHa3rJG9

The developer has been giving away FAR more than 2k to people that show interest and get involved in this coin.

That's 300 million coin, and you give away 2000 per person ? 9m92Xja31Fa9wMooFrVHrUmY79sHa3rJG9 i think that the idea is to garner interest in the currency, and if your going to do it through giveaways, that is gonna take a crapload of coins. lets say out of the initial 300 million this is to spend about lets say 60 million ( which i think is a little high, but then again i don't know what he is mining with, or how much has been donated for this purposes) 60 million divided by 2 thousand ( for this one giveaway mind you) would be 30 thousand prospective users of this currency. either way that is a very high number, so i think it would be more realistic to assume the giveaway would hand out probably close to 1 million which is still 500 new and existing miners. i would also think that it is safe to assume that this will not be the last giveaway. you would like there to be more wouldn't you. there is also the issue of the bounties that need to be paid out of that pre-mine, and one would also have to assume that the original pre-mine was divided among the developers equally, so if there are 6 developers that leaves 50 million apiece, minus the bounties. so at the very least after you talking about someone that is basically handing over a minimum of 2-3% of their holdings, which is pretty significant, and very generous.

Public Ledger Giveaways: 3,282,000 (288 individual giveaways) http://www.noblecoin.info/public-ledger/That's more than 3 million in giveaways in a little more than 3 days. The math is simple - those 288 individuals received a lot more than 2000 NobleCoins. This was just one giveaway out of many.

Also guys, let's try and get NOBLE put on http://newchg.com/ It's designed to easily connect buyers/sellers through your bitcointalk.org accounts and you can place bids/asks and have people contact you. Very nice little site to trade newly released coins. Post here to request it to be added: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=400513.0Gotta get trade volume and market interest to increase so we can get more people on the NOBLE train. it is not on an exchange yet. this is a site for the direct exchange of crypto currency: http://newchg.com/ and you can vote to have it added here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=400513.0sorry for the redundancy

It seems a number of people are moving to get NobleCoin trading on some of the entry-level exchanges and services. While we're optimistic that this would work in our favour (perhaps ideally in a few days time) and want it to happen naturally, we also want to act cautiously.
It would be beneficial for us by being able to tie an initial value to NobleCoin, allowing us to more confidently approach payment services and alt-coin accepting merchants for consideration of our coin also. Either way, our key focus is to continue to work on improving the 'attractiveness' of holding and actually using it to trade long-term (rather than letting it become a purely speculative game). The last thing we want is an ongoing dump.
We hope this clears up a number of PMs, let us know. Cheers.

we really need people to spread the hashrates around.... valid error should keep pool fees higher to encourage decentralization for now.

Yep, same problem we've been having this whole time. If the bigger miners would just solo mine, or split up... We wouldn't have this problem. Maybe the pool owners should start taxing the higher hashrates! =o

sorry... it wasn't my intention to try to force anything or to push this currency into something that would hurt it in any way.
then... out of curiosity, as the development team, how would you like to see this currency progress? i am in complete agreement that it is foolhardy to try to go to far to fast. as such, what kinda of guidelines and or self imposed limitations should we adopt, prior to an all out breakout ( which will happen once a marketplace is established).
since bitcoin is now excepted on overstock.com it is only a matter of time untill other big name online services start accepting cryptocurrency. obviously bitcoin and litecoin are going to be first.
also, what length of time or by what metrics would the development team prefer, as far as mining, marketing and advertisement.
i only ask these things because this is a motivated community, and i personally believe that our collective efforts would be best employed if there was some guidence within the community. we ( the NOBLE coin community) want this to be a sucess, i don't believe any of us want to hinder the development of this currency. i also believe that we can become our own worst enemy, if we go about this the wrong way, and trying to get onto cryptsy or even coinex for example at this early stage would definitely be the wrong way.
you have a community that is willing and wanting to do all that it can to make this work. if we can exert some discipline we can do great things with this. but that would take an outline of goals that need to be accomplished.
i'm not sure if this is what you were expecting when you started this project, but it's what you got. and that is something that most of these coins don't have. that is why i try to only refer to NOBLE as a currency and not some coin. maybe i have missed something or didn't understand something ( which does happen), since i am very new to this whole thing. but as i said before, i think that an outline of what is wanted and what is unwanted would do a great deal for all of us.

No need to be apologetic CDG - it was more an observation than criticism or attack. It doesn't take long to happen with many coins these days and while we're anxious about it we're also excited. We just want to be as strong as time allows us to show a position of long-term strength as well as we can in order to solidify the gains we've made so far. I also think you're spot on with your community analysis - not wrong at all. Right now we're working as much we can to 1) ensure we appear transparent, organised and professional, 2) are as strong as we can be for early exchanges, and 3) begin aggressively building the NOBLE network and ambassador program over the coming week. I think how things are naturally progressing is working well - but we are hopeful that as the hype of certain coins settles down we begin to appear as a quiet, hard-working and professional competitor and start to gain more traction. Regards
