I think you can't really go wrong at this moment. If this upwards trends continues you may make some roi on every coin you put that $500 into. However, nothing is certain. I though the worse was over in March and bought in with some fresh fiat....and again it went lower several times.

Thats a huge amount to invest in altcoins. I think you should invest in 3 to 5 types of altcoins. It will minimize your loss and at the same time maximize your profit.

This amount should be invested in EOS, NEO and a couple of new promising coins.  I advise all these coins to hold onto a long term in order to get a very good profit.

Devide $500 to 5 parts and invest 100$ in 5 different new alts just come out to IDEX from "high" rated ICOs on icodrops and trading near ICO price. That coins have big chances to be listed on big Exchanges and make x2-x3 in near future

i dont think that diversification is a good option with regards to low capital investment. i think you should focus on one coin that you believe will make you gain. there are times that you need to be brave to achieve more.

You profit is the function of the amount of money you invest.  That's, if the money  you invest if much huge provided there is increase in the price of coin you invest you money. 500$ is a good amount of money but if you have more than it you can add to it.

I would probably part of the money to invest in a prospective ICO to quickly make a profit and some of the money would be invested in ETH, because it is a reliable coin for investment.

You can find a large number of examples when an investment in one altcoin proved to be a failure and very little when successful. Think first of all yourself. A good investment portfolio can give 200-300% or even 1000% of profit. It seems to me very good:)))

As I were you I will not invest  this amount in  top 20  altocoins with big capitalization,  there are no so many opportunities that they can make several X,  choose  new promising  tokens with not huge capitalization, such as XYO, HBZ, ABYSS
