Thanks dude. I was just going to post that im done with Cryptsy... constant 505's.. my bitcoin deposit disappeared yesterday and that was the last straw. To be fair once I  contacted support they found them in a reasonable time but im not a charity helping the disabled kids if im paying for a service it should damn well do its job. Someone mentioned this site http://www.poloinex.com/ seems to be down or is the address wrong?

It is poloniex.com  and my brief trading there was great. Thin volume still but way better than cryptsy. I have never traded there and without a gun to my head I never will. There is no excuse for an exchange doing that sort of volume to be so crashy. No way  i am sending them money. I said no way I would ever send gox money either.

I think you all should start a thread and mass exit cryptsy for poloniex. Or skip it and use bter.com now that we are listed. So far have only heard good things about them cryptsy gives me hives just watching and i would torture myself on coinedup, at least they dont charge for being lame.

This will cause Cryptsy to go BOOM. China is all over cryptsy trying to buy up and/or move VTC in or out.

This is really a big deal. BTER doesn't just add random coins. And they gave it top billing on upper right corner menu pull down.

Vertcoin is called green coin in Chinese. Roll Eyes
Does everyone think it's a good name?

Green is the feng shui color of renewal, fresh energy and new beginnings.

Are there any chinese in this forum and what does he think what the vertcoin can do for the chinese market?

So you know "vert" is french for green. It sounds awful in english but when you hear a cute french girl say it its actually kind of sexy.

I am happy it has a global tone as it is a global market. I also think it doesnt matter, people adopt to names no matter how foreign. Google, yahoo, nike, adidas, versace, vert... We got THE coin. Who cares just call it good.

Took me 40 seconds to load the homepage and about 25 to load the VTC/BTC market. Coinedup is shocking. It's not my internet connection as I can download at 35MB/s here at work.

Coinmarket.io has been super fast for deposits, withdrawals and site responsiveness. I really don't know why more people aren't using it :/

I'm new here so I don't even know where to start the thread would be much better if someone with some clout could start it. I'm having problems with coinedup to I was just trying to figure out how to sign up and I keep getting loading errors *sigh* FFS I have btc that im waiting to exchange at cripsy (misspelling intended) I hope its not worthless by the time I can log in again.

Well what I think is that will go over 0.01 again within 24 hours.
Quark has been recently to 29 million market cap. Quark is huge in China.
Vert may end up in that range or higher since it's actually far superior and can still be mined.

Working fine for me, really quick? Just checked out bter.com, very slick! looks like an excellent exchange.

Vertcoin is added to Bter.com's markets at

https://bter.com/trade/vtc_btc

and

https://bter.com/trade/vtc_cny

Awesome news!

AND it's direct to fiat - there's now a CNY/VTC market.

Green coin sounds too casual. But it's ok, if most people like this name.

Maybe green coin is a good name, because greenback is also called green coin in Chinese.

I put up some difficulty graphs at http://stats.etyd.org/ because someone was asking about them (don't remember if I posted this already or not). If you find anything that looks odd or broken, let me know.

Note graphs are only updated once every hour while the network rate and difficulty listed as the top are basically live, so they won't always sync up with the graph.

Bengtake could you post an update wallet count? I find those immensely helpful in gauging growth and also in explaininh to new buyers the difference in future coin distribution and centralziation with vtc vs btc.
