Guys, VTC needs more vote there. please vote and spread the word.

Join ASAP: FREE BITCOIN
Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Wow... So how many messed up launches are we going to see?

The launch of VTC. Was perfect.  If you disagree you probably were not here for the launch.

I continue to be amazed by the perfomance and relieved - yes relieved - that we backed off the cryptsy spike. If we had gone much higher it would have set an extremely difficult celing to breach. All we have done is established a floor within striking distance of the top 10 market cap.  The buy wall is growing across tge exchanges and spec interest is griwing as mining interest has.

Qbit where is my t-shirt?

I want to put my girlfriend in one and use her as the first V-model.

In that case go buy a new computer and upload you wallet.dat file to that. Your backup I mean.

Come join us on P2Pool! Pick one of the available public nodes close to your location here or start your own node if you want: https://github.com/donSchoe/p2pool-vtc

P2Pool is a distributed peer-to-peer pool, all nodes work together and the block rewards are shared based on the amount of shares submitted by each worker on every node on the network! Payouts are sent directly to your wallet once a block is found. You can read more at the p2pool wiki. Most of the usual questions and doubts about p2pool are addressed in this thread: A guide for mining efficiently on P2Pool, includes FUD repellent and FAQ

Join the fight against centralization! P2Pool's percentage of the network has been shrinking more and more with most new users going to the largest regular pools, we need YOU!

Find yourself asking the question "when will I get paid?" or if your hashrate is enough for p2pool? Try this page to get an estimate, just borrow the share difficulty etc values from any node listed on the node scanner.

jballs, Sorry I wasn't clear, lol!

This was in response to the launch of MaxCoin. (A few posts before mine refer to that since that is what was crashing BitcoinTalk)
I agree Vertcoin's launch was pretty much perfect!

My code review of MPOS is complete. I did not identify any exploitable vulnerabilities. What issues I did identify the MPOS maintainer has addressed with minimal fuss or delay.

As such I have re-enabled https://vertcoinheavyindustries.com , thank you for your patience during the code review.

Oh that. Yeah must have been a hell of hype job. Must therefore be a pretty awful coin.

I had this morning cryptsy bad gateway and coinedup crashed, and later bad gateway for here too.
More time I have spent trying to load dead sites than since I was running windows ME on dial-up. Given the money surrounding the industry it is really baffling how there is not one solid deep liquid exchange. At this point. I would be fine with coinedup if they could just keep the thing online. How hard can it be.

In spite of that, VTC hangin tough and buyers finding their way in the occasional good gateway.

Sorry guys, I dont like this coin

I feel like it will tank LTC which will make me lose a lot of money

It may surpass BTC which might also devalue BTC and thus make me lose money

The train has already left for me to get in... If i buy now I know the price will crash because that is my luck

I see this coin as an enemy Sad

In other news since network wide hashing power has now reached 5GH/s I feel comfortable re-opening registrations. They were first closed to avoid gaining too much of the network hashing power but we now have some more headroom for new users.

Dafar,

Sorry but I don't understand your reasoning there... *If* it will surpass LTC then get in?

If that's the case your not going to stop it by calling it an enemy...
And I seriously doubt your luck has any influence on what the coin does. People messing with it op Cryptsy have a larger effect IMO.
