Getting into the Scrypt ASIC game is a never ending rabbit hole. The only time I made money with hardware is by buying Antminers, using them for a couple days then selling them on Craigslist at a crazy inflated price. That in itself is risky too and you can get stuck with depreciating hardware. Look at all those poor gridseed resellers stuck with 5 chip miners, when the new blade miners are already running on new chips.

PoW/PoS investing takes a bit more work but I find it to be more rewarding. Also one thing I want to point out is the fact that I am more into PoW/PoS hybrids instead of pure PoS for a few reasons. The main reason is when one method fails, the other can keep the blockchain going. When Blackcoin PoS got stuck, it basically shut down that blockchain. When PHS PoS mining got stuck, PoW mining took over, ensuring that the blockchain kept going.

Imagine many years from now, old Scrypt hardware being the saving grace of a coin if PoS were ever to fail. This might not seem like much but when these coins balloon into multi million dollar markets, a blockchain getting stuck is not an option. Also multipools make for easy investing as all I have to do is aim my hardware at say hashco.ws and get paid in HBN, set it and forget it.

Seeing HBN at 50k satoshi sure is a good way to start the morning. Now I am off to my 9-5 daily grind. End of month review should be ready this weekend.

for every seller, there is a buyer. Please understand this concept. The fact that the market can handle a 18k HBN sell order is good news.

Don't worry, I didn't take it in a bad way. I just wanted to clarify that I didn't say it for making other panic, it was a "fresh new". Someone was dumping at the moment I wrote. Keep up with this journal, it really inspired me and made me invest on it Wink

Don't worry, it shouldn't happen soon... because I'd buy them all too, and a few others on this thread would do the same so... not going to happen Tongue

that being said, this was a great ride so far, I manage to fill up the tank from back when they were 2k and manage to pick up a 30k block near 8k sat... that one was great  Grin

Back at those prices I only got around 15k HBN. Bitcoin was at the peak at the time so it was a bit more expensive.  That is right when I started getting into HBN so I put more effort into making the website etc than into playing the market.

I was thinking this same thing. HBN desperately needs some larger chunks sold off. Replace old investors with new investors that are eagerly awaiting to get in without buying out the orderbook.

HBN is a perfect example of slow and steady growth, free from pump and dump nonsense. The dev is great, and instead of focusing on stupid crap like getting voted onto 500 exchanges, making trivial sites, and harassing merchants to accept the coin, they have just focused on developing the coin and making a great wallet that works well.

Now if only the other altcoins would take notice and stop all the nonsense...

There's few out there focus on developing services and infrastructure before marketing.  I'm in for the ride.

Grin That is only partially true, I pumped the coin (without dumping any of my own coins) a week ago. (peak till 78k)
I think this paved the way for 50k.
The pump was intended to draw some attention to HBN, and it absolutely worked perfectly!

Time for 100k!
